This is a picture captured with Digi-View 4.0's new Dynamic HiRes mode.
A special viewer called Dyna-Show is included.
Dynamic HiRes can display 4096 colors in high resolution with overscan.
Digi-View 4.0 is a software upgrade (disk & manual) for Digi-View Gold
and the original Digi-View video digitizer.
DYNA-SHOW INSTRUCTIONS:
From WorkBench:
Double click on the picture
From CLI:
Type "Dyna-Show FILENAME"
The left mouse button will exit viewing the picture
OTHER NEW DIGI-VIEW 4.0 FEATURES:
* Dynamic HAM
Dynamic palette control provides sharper HAM images
virtually eliminating HAM fringing.
(Not currently with compatable with Amiga HAM paint programs)
* Noise Reduction
Filters most high frequency background noise from the video
signal for improved picture quality
* Super-Bitmaps/Digi-Paint
Images may be displayed directly into Digi-Paint 3 for editing
and enhancement. HiRes images create auto-scrolling super-
bitmaps of up to 768 x 480 x 4096 colors. After editing,
these super-bitmaps may be loaded back into Digi-View 4.0 and
displayed as Dynamic HiRes images.
* ARexx Support
Digi-View 4.0 can be controlled externally by other programs
including ARexx, or CLI batch files.
* RGB Printing
Digi-View 4.0 now directly prints 12 bit processed RGB data.
* 24 Bit Color Support
24 bit IFF RGB files may be loaded and saved for further image
processing and exporting to typesetters or frame buffers.
* Toll Free Tech Support
Extended-hours technical support. 8 am - 7 pm central time.
- these plus dozens of other new features are in the new version of
the best-selling video digitizer of all time.

SPECIAL NOTES:
NewTek fully supports the multi-tasking philosophy of the Amiga but
Dynamic displays take almost all of the Amiga's considerable power to
maintain an image. Therefore Dyna-Show will safely turn off
multi-tasking while displaying pictures. Multi-tasking will resume
upon exiting Dyna-Show.
While displaying, Dyna-Show checks the floppy disk drives to make sure
that if disks are removed while multi-tasking is turned off AmigaDOS
will be notified. This may result in a flicker of the drive lights.
COMING SOON:
See your local Amiga dealer for NewTek's DEMO REEL 3
featuring the Dynamic HiRes image "The Face" and the return of
Laura "Maxine Headroom" Longfellow.

TECHNICAL NOTES:
NewTek encourages all developers to support Dynamic display technology
and will be releasing technical information on Dynamic modes.
Dynamic HAM images are HAM images that use a different 16 color base
palette on each scan line. This eliminates most if not all of the HAM
"fringing" common to ordinary HAM displays and provides a sharper picture.
Dynamic HAM images may be interlace and overscan if desired.
Dynamic HiRes images are 4 bit plane deep, high resolution screens with
a different 16 color palette on each scan line. This allows all 4096
colors to be used at once on a high resolution screen. Dynamic HiRes
uses dithering to minimize palette limitations and provide the sharpest
images possible with a standard Amiga.
While low resolution Dynamic modes can be rendered on a 512K Amiga,
Digi-View 4.0 can require up to 2 megabytes to create HiRes overscan,
interlace images. All images may be viewed on a standard 512K Amiga.
Exporting images interactively to Digi-Paint 3 requires 1 megabyte but
can require up to 3 megabytes for 768 x 480 x 4096 color super-bitmaps.
Since Dynamic modes must calculate a new palette for each scan line
they take time to render. Low resolution Dynamic HAM takes about
2.5 minutes on a 512K Amiga. Overscan, interlace or HiRes will take
proportionately longer to calculate. A 68020 or 68030 will drastically
decrease the calculation time. You may adjust all the Digi-View
image processing controls using normal displays then use Dynamic
modes to render the final image.
