  11. C Tutor is a comprehensive course for the C programming
  12. language.  Since C is a very transportable language, the des-
  13. cription here is applicable to most compilers with some slight
  14. differences.  This course is recommended for the experienced
  15. programmer who knows about computer programming concepts and 
  16. and has used some other high level language.  This is a two disk 
  17. product.  The first diskette contains the tutorial text and it is
  18. recommended that it be printed by use of an included batch file.
  19. The second diskette contains the C source code for each of
  20. the examples included throughout the tutorial.  These examples
  21. are meant to be studied and then compiled and run by the student.
  22. The examples are short and focus in on the topic of discussion.
  23. A description of the various compilers and their differences is 
  24. included in a text file named COMPILER.DOC to aid you in getting
  25. the source files to compile.  All of the points of C language, 
  26. including proper structured programming techniques, are covered 
  27. at the elementary to he more sophisticated levels in easy to read, 
  28. well written text.  The authors appear to be highly skilled in both 
  29. the use of the programming language and the art of instructional 
  30. design.  Required, of course, is a complete IBM hardware
  31. setup, including at least one disk drive, and some version of a C
  32. compiler.  Also available, in similar format, is a tutorial on the
  33. Pascal programming language.
