- This document answers some questions posed about the first beta copy of
- Football Fanatic.
-
- What constitutes an International Player
- A player is considered an international if:
-
- 1. he was not born in Europe, or
-
- 2. he is European but his country is not part of the EC (along with
- Norway, Switzerland and Iceland) or his country does not have a
- club in the EFL. Note, the definition of a domestic player changes
- every year as teams get introduced or dropped from the EFL. It's a
- good idea to know who will join the EFL in the next season, so you
- can buy international player which next season will be considered
- domestic.
-
- Cup-Tied Player
- A player is considered cup-tied if he played a cup game in the
- regular season (EFL or Elite Cup) for a team other than his current team.
- Footy will let you know when you have a player in this situation by giving
- you a message and in the squad screen he will have a white lowercase "c"
- next to his name.
-
- Stadium Attendance
- Stadium attendance has been worked on. In order to maximize
- attendance and revenue, you will have to experiment with different ticket
- prices. If you're in a lower division don't ask for too much. You can
- also set the factors for Cup and Friendly games. Don't make Cup games too
- expensive or nobody will show up.
- You will notice an increase in the last few of the seasons if your
- team has a chance to get promoted, avoid relegation or win the division
- title. Also when you play a team from your own country a few more people
- will wander into your stadium.
-
- Toto Cup
- All Toto Cup games are played at neutral sites. Two stadiums will
- be used for each round robin section. The stadiums will change for each
- round. Teams that don't play are randomly chosen to host these games.
- If your stadium is picked you will get a cash bonus depending on which
- round your stadium will host.
-
- Squad Listing
- It's not mentioned in the online help, but you can use the left and
- right cursor keys to change what information is being displayed.
-
- Contract Negotiations
- Expired player contracts can only be renegotiated during the first
- 4 weeks of the off-season. We recommend you do it as early as possible so
- you know who you'll have for the upcoming season.
-
- International Teams
- You cannot coach/manage an international team (only in the
- registered version). These teams are involved in the transfer market
- (buying and selling players), play in the World Club Cup, and their staff
- may become available for hire.
-
- League Schedule
- Every team gets two weeks off during the regular season. The
- dates of the off-weeks depends on the schedule. All teams should have
- played 30 games after the 32nd week.
-
- Cup Finals
- All Cup Finals are played at neutral sites, and are one game only.
-
- Top 15 Teams
- The Top 15 teams are dtermined by totaling results from the Cups
- and league play.
