  1. INSTALLATION:

  3. Thank you for selecting our Cookbook!
  4.  
  5. Our Cookbook requires an IBM or Compatible PC
  6. with a minimum of 512K RAM and a hard disk drive.
  7. Basically it will run on almost any computer !
  8.  
  9.  
  10. IMPORTANT FOR WINDOWS USERS:
  11.  
  12. If you try to run the program but get an error message such as..
  13.     "Not enough memory"
  14. You must change your CONFIG.SYS file.
  15.  
  16. Look for a line in the CONFIG.SYS file that sets the emm386.exe
  17. such as ...
  18.          DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe noems x=d400-d7ff
  19.  
  20. Change the "noems" portion to read "1024"
  21. such as ...
  22.          DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe 1024 x=d400-d7ff
  23.  
  24. Notice the before and after.
  25.  
  26. Before        DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe noems x=d400-d7ff
  27. After         DEVICE=C:\DOS\emm386.exe 1024  x=d400-d7ff
  28.  
  29. The only change is noems becomes 1024!
  30.  
  31. This will correct the problem and will not affect any other program.

  33. If you do not know how to edit your config.sys file
  34.  
  35. do the following....
  36.    From the program manger
  37.       select File...Run...
  38.         Then type "Sysedit"
  39.             Select the "Config.sys" file and make the changes
  40.  
  41. Remember to save the changes to the file and reboot your computer
  42.
