  1. OODLES OF DOODLES! Version 1.0002

  3.      That's just what MCDOODLE is. This is a collection of VGA
  4. (640 x 480 bits) color graphic doodles, math formulas and
  5. routines I have collected over the years. Some are my creation,
  6. some are not. Those that are not, are from magazines, books, BBS
  7. uploads, or other Public Domain code. If you should recognize one
  8. of them as yours, it's either a coincidence or it's yours. If it
  9. should happen to be your (somewhat modified) code, I hope you
  10. don't mind that I have spread it all over the globe. And if you
  11. do, please let me know and I'll take it out.
  12.      A time delay routine is utilized that uses the speed of the
  13. PC in calculation of the speed of the doodle, so they should run
  14. at about the same speed on a 386SX 16 MHz and a Pentium 100 MHz.

  16.      MCDOODLE will also be uploaded to various On-line services
  17. and BBS's as a FREE Public Domain program, so if you should see a
  18. newer version (check file date) than the one included with this
  19. copy of MicroCook, you can just download it, and replace it.
  20. Making sure to copy the TXT and EXE file over the older version.
  21. I'll be adding new doodles as I find or "invent" them.

  23.      MCDOODLE.EXE is now separated from MicroCook. A new option
  24. is added in MicroCook's Setup. This option adds lots of new and
  25. exciting possibilities. You can now use MCDOODLE as the MicroCook
  26. screen saver, OR you can use your own. Maybe even load a scanned
  27. picture of your children into a viewer. You can also load and run
  28. MCDOODLE from DOS or load it from an other program as a screen
  29. saver there.

  31.      To use MCDOODLE.EXE alone from DOS, you can have the program
  32. pick randomly which doodles that are displayed, display them in
  33. sequence, or just display one all the time. By loading the
  34. program as just MCDOODLE, the random order is used. If you load
  35. as MCDOODLE 99, all the doodles will be displayed in sequence. To
  36. just use one doodle over and over again, type in the doodle
  37. number after MCDOODLE. To find the high number of doodles
  38. included, type: MCDOODLE ?, or MCDOODLE HELP

  40.      To use an other screen saver with MicroCook, change the name
  41. in Setup to the name of the file that executes the screen saver.
  42. This could be either an EXE, COM or a BAT file. Be sure to type
  43. in the file name completely in Setup. The file MUST be located in
  44. the same directory as MCOOK.EXE, but if you use a batch file
  45. (BAT) to load it, you can load it from almost anywhere.

  47.      When the screen saver is loaded, MicroCook is still loaded
  48. in memory, so if the recipe database is large, and the screen
  49. saver is a large program, you might run out of memory.

  51.      If you should have any doodles written in any of the BASIC
  52. dialects, and it runs in VGA screen mode 12, to have it included
  53. in MCDOODLE, please contact me.

  55.      The MCDOODLE.EXE comes "as-is" which means that you are not
  56. allowed to complain about it :-) BUT, if you should have any
  57. problems or questions regarding MCDOODLE, please send me a note
  58. via e-mail.
