GM11: Megaball AGA
Version V1.00 of this game has been
around for a long time now, and today, is
still as impressive as it ever was. Based
around Arkanoid, the enhanced breakout
clone. MegaBall AGA is almost the same
game to when it first hit the PD streets,
but now with 256 colours, new levels, more
power ups and more banging music. MegaBall
is such an awesome game you cannot miss it
and once you've got it, it's hard to put
down. It's so damn good it makes some dodgy
commercial games look like Atari ST rejects.
GM045: Road to Hell
One or two player split screen overhead
racing game. Many tracks including
training mode where you can practice on
any track or take on one of the three
championship seasons. Besides the racing
element you can upgrade your vehicle with
better grip tyres, power steering, faster
engines, and a delightful choice of
weaponry. The menu of tasty morsels are
smoke screens and missiles. One other
neat option allows you to change the
speed of the game, quite essential as
it's almost impossible to control the
cars on the normal speed setting, the
slow speed is most comfortable. It may be
because I was running the game on my
A1200, accelerating the game somewhat.
The tracks vary from fairly basic ovals
to complex bendy ones with ostacles and
hazzards such as ice and snow making
cornering more difficult (but lots of
fun). A good example on how to programme
a racing game properly.
GM058: Act of War 1.4
New bug free and enhanced version of
this superb Laser Squad/Breach style
strategy war game. For those not
familiar with either of those games,
Act Of War puts you in charge of a team
of crack soldiers, human and battle
droids, to complete five varied missions.
You begin by selecting the mission,
difficultly level and either a one or
two player game. Next it's the armoury
where you can spend your meagre money on
any of 21 different weapons. Yes that's
right a weapon for every occasion, fancy
a classy Dirty Harry style Magnum 44 or
a top of the range Napalm Cannon to singe
the hairs off your foe. More hardware
than you can cope with.
After you've kited your troops out you go
straight into battle, your men are
deployed in small groups of 3 or 4 around
the target area - It's time to let rip.
The action is viewed from a birds eye
perspective, so you get a good view of the
surroundings. You move your men
individually by the use of a points system,
each man has a certain allocation of action
points which they use to move, shoot, open
doors, load weapons, pick up/drop items
etc.. Once you've spent them the character
can no longer move again until the next
turn. On completing your movement round, the
enemy have their turn to do much the same
things, then it's back to you. A continuous
cycle.
GM060: Bazza and Runt AGA
The main aim of this game is to destroy all
the targets on the screen and a certain
number of monsters.
Must be one of the most colourful, addictive
games on the Public Domain market. This
author has talent (do you want to join our
forthcoming software company?? Please??).
I don't play or like games unless they are
really special. If I play one twice then it
is recommended. This has been loaded a few
times!
GM067: Scrabble
Brilliant clone of the popular board game.
Exact board games rules apply. 1 or 2
players. Good computer opponent with
a large dictionary which also doubles
up for the word database to check your
words are valid.
GM078A: Starwoids
Remember Thrust or Oids? Well, this is a
combination of both. Very playable: Guide
your spaceship to save your fellow pilots
whilst avoiding the usual shots towards you
etc.
GM078B: Starwoids
Disk B of Starwoids
GM088: Monopoly v1
Monopoly is one of the most playable board
games in the world. We all know the rules
- this is a computer version of the board
game.
GM093A: Klondike III
This is a well known card game, on a
variation of patience. What makes this
unique is the quite outstanding graphics
used in the game. Each and every card
displays a glamourous lady in various
fashions and poses. The graphic detail on
each card (using the 256 colour palette)
is tremendous. Put this game high on your
purchase list, a game not to be missed.
GM094A: High Octane
"Hereeees Jonnieeee" I cried out in
grit teethed joy as I rammed my car at
full throttle into my opponents
stationary vehicle, who was innocently
filling up on the local four star. The
full force of my untimely intrusion
flung the other car into a sprawling
uncontrollable spin which ended up in a
brick wall. Obscenities were swapped as
I sped off after my leisurely visit to
the service station. My rather ingenious
plot won the race, the master strategist,
that's me.
This game is a bit special, as you may
have guessed from my short account of a
memorable incident during one of many
races a visiting friend and I had, this
is a racing game. The best PD racing ever
and that's no lie. This overhead racing
game has everything, incredibly detailed
tracks, fast cars, missiles and mines,
incredibly detailed tracks (oops I already
said that), and tons of playability. The
game only has three tracks, which may
sound very few but once you've experienced
the colossal size and graphic detail put
into each track, three tracks is more than
enough.
The screen layout is split into three
parts, two sections for both cars (either
2 humans, 2 computers, or a mix of
computer and human), the bottom displays a
well detailed scaled down version of the
track which aids as a map plus shows the
position of both drivers.
Until Ford produce a production family
saloon armoured personal carrier for those
five o'clock rush hour blues, take your
frustrations out with High Octane. My god
it's sex on a disk....
GM094B: High Octane
Disk B of High Octane
GM095: Temporal Misplacement
Text/graphic adventure game with a time
travelling theme. You have been sent
back in time to recover the energy
crystal that was created to solve the
worlds future energy crisis. In a freak
accident the crystal was sent into the
past which you now need to find.
GM096: Green Five
This game follows the lines of Flash
Back and Another World. If you've
never played either of these games
(or seen them reviewed), you play an
almost humanly animated character in a
high tech platform game where the
success of the mission is difference
between life and death.
The introductory plot is brief but well
thought out and written, the following
animated introduction will blow your
mind. The instant striking impression
you'll get from the game are the superb
graphics and your main character who
realistically runs and somersaults
around the screen.
This shareware release is reduced to
the first level, for the full game a
registration fee must me sent to the
author.
GM097: Top Hat Willy
This is a great Amiga "Jet Set Willy"
game. Essentially the object is the same
as Jet Set Willy (if I can remember
correctly!). You have to tun around a
HUGE house collecting a certain amount of
objects whilst dodging the aliens and
avoiding traps.
GM098: Xenomorphs
When the authors of this game say
Xenomorphs, what they are really trying
to say is the film Aliens because this is
what the game is based on. The game looks
an awful lot like Alien Breed, but not
quite as good.
Despite being a slightly jerky shoot-em-up
this game does contain some very decent
graphics.
GM099: Santa Does Xmas
Ok, so there may not be many objectives
in this game but it is darn good fun for
many kids under 10 out there.
An ideal "stocking filler" which will
keep the kids happy, with this yuletide
game, for last few days before Xmas.
The idea of the game is very straight
forward: Choose between Rudolf (the Red
Nose Reindeer!!) or good ol' Santa
himself, then your mission is to collect
as many pressies as possible (in order to
save Xmas - the usual story - but kids
love it!) and to defend himself against
the baddies (well, snowmen etc actually)
in the meantime.
GM100: Helicopter Mission
It's a pity since all the text within
the game is all in German.
This game is similar to Desert Strike
the arcade Helicopter game in which you
have to perform a number of missions in
a theatre of war.
This game boast 3 type of chopper, and
several different mission objectives
with full mission briefings and
debriefings.
GM101A: Champion Wrestling [1/2 Disks]
1 or 2 player Wrestling game. Enter the
squared circle and beat the living
daylights out of your opponent with an
arsenal of throws, punches, kicks, locks
and even leaping off the corner posts.
Neat graphics.
GM101B: Champion Wrestling [2/2 Disks]
GM102: Solo Assault
This is an all action sci fi epic where
you fly your space craft through asteroid
fields and swarms of aliens ships, and
light saber fighting Star Wars style
sequences.
GM103: Super Battle Zone
This is a clone of the old arcade wire
frame game, 3D Battle Tanks game. This
version uses filled 3D polygons, though
doesn't seem to have the same feel as
classic arcade machine.
GM104A: Art of Breaking Heads [1/6 Disks]
GM104B: Art of Breaking Heads [2/6 Disks]
GM104C: Art of Breaking Heads [3/6 Disks]
GM104D: Art of Breaking Heads [4/6 Disks]
GM104E: Art of Breaking Heads [5/6 Disks]
GM104F: Art of Breaking Heads [6/6 Disks]
A decent PD beat-em-up with the
diversity of characters akin to the
likes of Blow Blows. There are 6
different characters each with their
own sequence of moves and at least 2
special moves each. Watch out for the
intimidating battle robot fighter that
towers over the rest of the characters.
GM105: Dynamite Warriors 2
This is brilliant clone of Dynablasters.
1 to 4 players (any number human or CPU
controlled) lay time bombs around a maze
in a bid to blast open blocked up areas
to reach the other players and blow them
up too. It's great fun as each player is
against one another and the action can
get real hectic.
GM106: Deluxe Galaga V2.4
This is the ultimate shareware
shoot-em-up. The incredible addictive
qualities, superb graphics and bonus
stages make this up to commercial
standards in my books.
The game is simple enough a vertically
scrolling blaster based loosely on
Galaxian, plenty to shoot, power up
weapons and killer gameplay.
GM107: Automobiles V1.11
The nearest thing to Skid Marks.
Automobiles is a car racing game for
up to three participants and a selection
of eight varied tracks. The tracks are
not only quite bendy but very bumpy too
with the occasional big jump. In most
racing games you stick to the track,
in this game you actually bounce on
the bumps and fly on the jumps.
GM108: Pacman 3D
Pacman goes 3D in this shareware
virtual Pacman experience. The
game concept stays the same, eat
the dots to clear the level and
avoid the nasty ghosts. Eat the
power pills and chase the
ghosts for a tasty ectoplasm
snack.
GM109: Xmas Obstickle
A little Xmas game for the
yuletide season.
GM110: Xenex
This should have been better than it
turned out. Xenex is an Asteroids
clone but with up to date 16 bit
graphics, but without the gameplay
of the original.
GM111A: Dead of the Night [AGA] [1/3 Disks]
GM111B: Dead of the Night [AGA] [2/3 Disks]
GM111C: Dead of the Night [AGA] [3/3 Disks]
Real Agatha Christie storyline plot as
a party of skiers are trapped in a ski
resort until the snow storm is over. Diana
one of the guests is brutally murdered
and the list of suspects includes everyone
present. Fortunately you possess detective
skills to aid in compiling the clues
before the police arrive the next day.
You have to make your way through the
resort interviewing the guests for
alibis and motives. Each guest will
reveal certains clues that will
eventually lead you to the killer.
Dead Of the Night is a graphic
adventure game which is completely
mouse operated. You interact with
the world by point and clicking
on items on the screen and
manipulating them with a row of
icons. Very professional.
GM112: Pucman Worlds
This is a novel Pacman clone. The game
is made up of themed scrolling levels
since the mazes are larger than the
screen. Other than this the game is
faithful to the original.
GM113A: Jinx [AGA] [1/2 Disks]
GM113B: Jinx [AGA] [2/2 Disks]
Help Jakes and Jobe out of their latest
predicament. The "Jinxes" have landed
themselves in the king's dungeon, just
three days before the start of
Winternight, the largest communion
of Jesters.
To escape the 25 level catacomb of
dungeons you must control both
jesters in turn and making use of
all or any objects available to reach
the exits. A nice Arcade puzzle game
GM114: Flaming Engines
Highly entertaining Super Sprint
look-a-like racing game. Fours cars
either driven by human or CPU controlled
drivers, with at least one human player
competing in the races. Nice added effects
including lightening that lights up the
screen with a crash of thunder.
GM115: Power Battle
A tank warfare game set in an open
landscape.
GM116: Derring Do
A very good and clse clone of Mr Do.
To clear the level you must collect
cherries and tunnel your way through
the screen avoiding the nasties and
with the aid of the handy orb you
carry around, throw at the nasties
making them explode.
GM117: Puzzle Pits 2
Sokobahn type of puzzle game with a
good 3D overhead view and attractive
graphics to boot.
GM118A: Chaneques [1/2 Disks]
GM118B: Chaneques [2/2 Disks]
This is one of the most addictive PD
arcade puzzle games around. A similar
concept to Lemmings but with sutble
differences.
You are in charge of three special
little guys whom possess a particular
skill that together make the versatile
team needed to complete the levels
if you use them correctly.
One guy can make stretch himself out
as a bridge, the next one is able to
drill through solid objects and the
final chap has spiderman abilities to
walk up vertical surfaces.
GM119: Shark Goes Racing
Car racing game, demo version featuring
5 tracks from the full version only
available from the author. The game
is very smooth with large sprites and
good variety of tracks. Other than the
cars the graphics are a little bit bland
on some tracks which does spoil the game
with much potential.
GM120: Lance
Clone of the old and well forgotton
arcade game called Joust. You and your
trusty flying stead in the form of an
ostritch must ram the other the
other CPU opponents with your lance.
GM121: Harry Haddock
Neat platform romp starring a hero
in the form of a oily haddock. Harry
must travel along the platforms in
this side ways scrolling game, collecting
the food and precious stones and avoiding
the dangerous crustaceans and other
killer fishy life forms that want to
stop Harry in his fin like tracks.
GM122: Suicide Machine
Operation Wolf format of game where
you blast an endless horde of heavily
armed cute fluffy animals. Indeed it's
a blood fest where the animals have the
opportunity to take out the humans for
once. The graphics are well drawn and
suitably cute with loads of screams as
the fur fly's. Plenty of ammo and five
different weapons to try out.
GM124A: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [1/7 Disks]
GM124B: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [2/7 Disks]
GM124C: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [3/7 Disks]
GM124D: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [4/7 Disks]
GM124E: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [5/7 Disks]
GM124F: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [6/7 Disks]
GM124G: Tomcat [AGA] [HD] [4MB] [7/7 Disks]
Tomcat is a FMV (Full Motion Video)
"game" which allows you to fly a
F19 through a rocky landscape.
GM125: Kellogs Land
Extremely high quality platform romp
starring the familiar cartoon characters
that adorn the boxes and feature in those
cereal adverts; Tony, Smacks, Coco and
Tucan, each with special abilities.
You can switch between characters
whithin the game and use their special
features to complete the game.
A simple formula of platform, collect
em up and find the exit.
GM127: Zaxxon
Arcade classic clone. Faithful in every
respect to the Commodore 64 version, the
gfx, sound fx and gameplay. A brilliant
feat.
GM128: Roketz V2
One or two player split screen game
loosely based on the classic Thrust
genre. The aim is simple, lay into
your opponent until they crash and
burn. In this shareware version
their are two scenarios, two very
different craft to pick between
and a variety of main weapon and
special weapon on offer. What
makes this game different and so
damn incredible is the way the
ships are raytraced in 256 colours.
Each ship is built from many
smooth frames which make the
crafts look as if they are gliding
through the air with amazing ease
and control.
This is one of the finest
shareware games you'll likely to
find on the Amiga, or a matter
a fact on any 32 bit machine.
GM129: Fears
Early payable beta version of this Doom
clone. Features one massive, if not
seemingly infinite complex on corridors,
doors, rooms and aggressive aliens. You
have an armoury comprising of a shotgun,
pistol and machine gun and a limited ammo
supply. Fears as in Doom utilizes a
system called textured mapping which
allows graphically detailed 3D
environments.
GM130: Fishy Fishy
Original and strange type of game.
You start off as a tiny tiddler of
a fish and the aim is to grow as large
as possible. To start with you can only
eat small fish, after a few meals you
will grow and you'll be able to munch
the bigger fish and crustaceans, this
continues until you are large enough
to take on the end of level Shark which
you cannot eat but wear him down by
nibbling at his tail and avoiding the
sharp teeth of the beast.
GM131: Supermega Fruits
Shareware fruit machine game. Nice
big wheels, bonus games, holds and
nudges. Just what a good fruit machine
game should consist of. Shareware.
GM132: Samurai Showdown
This is an ambitious martial arts
beat-em-up. The game lacks in the
graphics department, but it does
compensate with probably possessing
the most special moves in any beat-em-up
around. Admittedly some of these special
moves are very strange indeed they do make
this game more distinctive than your
average fist and feet fare. Shareware
demo version.
GM133A: Hyper Race [AGA] [1/2 Disks]
GM133B: Hyper Race [AGA] [2/2 Disks]
Professionally produced racing game with
twelve tracks and for 1 to 4 players.
Amazingly each car is composed of 180
frames of animation, this gives you an
idea of how graphically splendid the
game is. The tracks are varied in design
and graphics with jumps and other
obstacles, making an exhilarating racing
competition.
GM134: Booze-o-Meter
Waggle your joystick and participate
in numerous disciplines where only
dedicated beer guts have the fortitude
to cope with. The first contest is the
famous Barrel Weight lifting competition,
followed by the shooting contest where
you have to blast various beverages
around the bar and under the influence.
However my favourite and the most
controversial competition is the drunken
driving discipline where you score points
for mowing down the public. There are
still several more disciplines besides
these. A real joystick wrecker.
GM135: Atomic
Shareware arcade puzzle game where the
aim is to direct atoms around a maze of
channels using revolving intersections.
GM136: Radiation v1
Caution high levels of radiation!!!!
Employee of a new Nuclear power station,
a huge explosion rocks the complex and
the unthinkable happens, core breach.
You have to find the safest way to the
reactor and remove all traces of the
damaged rods before it's too late and
meltdown time.
This games uses the 3D Construction Kit
to produce this VR style of game.
Pretty good. but requires a resonably
fast processor to get the best screen
frame updates.
GM137: Megablock 2
Another one of those Tetris games.
Outwardly when you first start playing
you won't be able to distinguish this
version from any other decent Tetris
game, however several shapes into the
game and you may possibly find that the
next piece is a bomb that blows up some
of blocks, or a bonus shape that will
give you extra points when you complete
line. These are just two of the extra
added features to this well cloned
addictive genre.
GM138: Cyberman
3D dungeon Master style role playing
game. This game places you in body of
cyborg who has to escape the huge
underground complex. Unwillingly
bought back to life and now half
computer and half human, you have
enhanced abilities that allow you
plug in useful items of hardware
into your body.
GM140: Internal Combustion
Super Sprint style overhead racing game
for up to 3 player with a choice of either
a Porche, Formula One racer or Buggy.
Varied tracks plus power up items randomly
appearing along the roads. Shareware.
GM141: Turbo Jam
Another car racing type game for
one or two players.
GM145A: Madhouse [AGA] [1.5MB+] [1/2 Disks]
GM145B: Madhouse [AGA] [1.5MB+] [2/2 Disks]
A funny and well designed Monkey Island
genre point and click graphic adventure
game set within the confines of a mental
institute. You play the part of the cool
young caretaker dude who one morning is
informed that the hospital is to be
closed. Forget about fixing that door
hinge and leaky tap, you have to spend
your efforts in keeping the institute
open. Much of the quest involves
interaction with the insane and wacky
residents to find the means to the end.
GM146: Step Five
This is another Tetris game to add the
ever increasing catalogue bulging with
clones of this game of Russian origins.
Step Five adds nothing new to the concept
but this is a splendid version of the
game, crisp graphics and professional
presentation plus a nice tune to listen
to while stacking the blocks. If you feel
like upgrading your current Tetris clone,
then you could do far worse than choosing
this title.
GM147: Deluxe Galaga v2.51
Another update of this superb blaster.
Bug fixes and extra features such as
enhanced bonus stages and gfx.
GM148: Classic Pucman
Pacman game that attempts to create
the original feel and look of the
arcade version, even right down to
the sound effects.
This game however does include some
added options such as the 2 player
simultaneous game feature.
GM149: Amiga Demon v1.01
Amiga Demon is a simple card game.
GM150: Rocketz v2.25
One or two player split screen game
loosely based on the classic Thrust
genre. The aim is simple, lay into
your opponent until they crash and
burn. In this shareware version
their are two scenarios, two very
different craft to pick between
and a variety of main weapon and
special weapon on offer. What
makes this game different and so
damn incredible is the way the
ships are raytraced in 256 colours.
Each ship is built from many
smooth frames which make the
crafts look as if they are gliding
through the air with amazing ease
and control.
This is one of the finest
shareware games you'll likely to
find on the Amiga, or a matter
a fact on any 32 bit machine.
GM151: Infection
Infection is a multi-player
strategy game where you have to
wipe the other player from the
board.
GM152: Jump 'Um
Guide Spud through the 10 shareware
levels of this super puzzle game.
The game idea is simple, you have to
clear the screen of tiles by walking
over them. The tiles are laid in an
elaborate fashion and you have to work
out the correct path to get them all.
After you have passed over a tile it
falls into the void below, which is
the same thing that will happen to you
is you walk off the tiles, but you do
have a limited supply of bridges that
will allow you to pass over the void
without falling into it.
GM153: Boing v3
Like thing-on-a-spring! A platform
game with cute graphics.
GM154: Poker Mania
Poker game for Hi-res monitors.
GM155: Coin Mania
Playable demo version arcade puzzle game
in which the aim is to bounce over
pathways of tiles collecting the coins.
The tiles disintegrate after you've passed
over them so you have to plan your route
otherwise you'll end up falling into the
pit below.
GM157: Master Blaster
Dynablasters clone for 2 players only.
Big cartoon graphics.
GM158: Think Mania
Nice memory game based on concentration.
One or two players take in turn to
turnover 2 of the many tiles, revealing
2 images. The game is to match up the
tiles their twin which makes them
disapear and gains you points in the
process.
GM159: Simon
A four coloured circular panel is shown
on the screen. One of the panels will
flash and make a sound. You then have
to activate the same panel. The
computer will then flash the same panel
once more plus one more. Again you
emulate the last sequence.
This continues until you slip up. Very
simplistic but an effective way to
train your memory.
GM160: Total Excess
An Amos programmed shoot-em-up with
a lot of promise but seems to look
in an unfinished state. Needs some
work in the feel of the game.
GM161A: Ooze AGA [AGA] [DISK 1/2]
GM161B: Ooze AGA [AGA] [DISK 2/2]
Superb AGA board game.
GM162: Ooze ECS
Version for non-AGA Amiga's.
GM163: China Tiles
Shanghai tiles game. You have to clear
the screen of the pile tiles by matching
them up with their twin.
GM164A: Cybergames [1/2 Disks]
GM164B: Cybergames [2/2 Disks]
This game has a remarkable resemblance to
Barbarian the classic C64 hack and slash em
with 2 Conan look-a-likes with big nasty
two hand swords.
Cybergames has shot forward into the future
by around 400 years but the same principles
apply, slice up the other player and even
cut their head off. The characters have a
cyber punk appearance and carry different
types of swords and maces. Each round you
win allows you to spend earned credits on
weapon upgrades, armour and missile weapons
in the shop. Real gory.
GM165: Punter v1
Entertaining animated horse racing
betting game.
GM166: Gravity Force II
Any self respecting PD collector wouldn't
be able to miss the rave reviews in most
of the Amiga mags about this gem of a game.
Essentially this is a two player split
screen Thrust style game, where 2 players
battle it out in a cosmic dog fight duel
sort of a thing. There are absolutely
loads of different themed scenarios to
choose from which are all well thought
out to bring not only a more varied
game but to add degrees of difficulty
to the game. And if you get bored with
simply shooting your friend you can
take part in some special levels where
the players have to race around a circuit
of gates to the finish line, with the
occasional tactical blasting of your
competitor to slow their progress.
This game is so addictive I can almost
guarantee you will play this for many
months.
GM167: Ace Space Case
Cute looking platform game with a clever
8 bit feel. Smooth scrolling machine coded
game where aim is simply to reach the top
of the level by negotiating the many
ramps and platforms that lead upwards.
You come equiped with useful rolling
bomb which you can use on the nasties
and blast open the bonus bins, plus
entertaining to just watch it roll
around???
GM168: Scavange
This is a two player only one on one
duel between 2 hard men brandishing small
arms. The view is a split screen and seen
from overhead within a maze of solid
walls. Randomly placed power up items
appear for the lucky contestants to aid
in their battle, usually shields, giving
player the chance to get out in the open
and chase the other player without the
worry of sustaining any injuries.
Shareware.
GM169: Mash
This is a cross between Cannon Fodder
and Lemmings!! What do I mean? Well the
game consists of a horizontally scrolling
mountainous terrain with a HQ on the far
left and far right of the landscape. The
headquarters belong to two opposing sides.
The mission is to destroy the enemies HQ
with a shower of gun and rocket fire. Each
side has a battalion on tanks and infantry,
though only one unit can be used at any one
time until destroyed. The tanks are the
big guns, with a variety of different
missile devices. The infantry are their
to build bridges, dig tunnels and even
fly with the aid of a short burst jetpack.
The infantry are not completely unarmed
and also carry a shoulder launched rocket
device. The game can be played with one
or two players. The one player against
the computer is a realtime affair, where
the two player option gives the players
25 seconds per turn to control their
selected unit. With the many operations
the units can preform the game is mouse
and icon controlled. Most of the fun and
action happen when units of either side
meet along the way. Shareware.
GM170: The Summoning
Graphic detective adventure game. The
opportunity to make your mark in the PI
industry, plus the fact your office rent
is due, a job of vast dangerous
proportions is propositioned to you. A
random murderer has been terrorising the
skyscrapers, a rumour has also been
spreading about this thing is not human
but does have some sort of weak spot,
though no one knows what?
Completely point and click graphic
adventure game full of logical puzzles
and blood soaked scenes. Shareware.
GM173: Power Walls
Pretty good breakout game with a Arkanoid
appearance. Not quite as polished as
Megaball.
GM174: Tanks!
Clone of Battle Tanks in all it's arcade
wire frame glory. Shoot as many tanks
as possible and avoid being shot yourself.
The more you destroy the more enemy tanks
appear on the scene. It's a never ending
sequence of fighting with no end goal,
just survival of the fittest and amounting
as large a score as possible.
GM175: Nicky 2
This slick platform game is almost to good
to be Public Domain. Gorgeous scrolling
graphics and quality feel.
GM176A: Alien Genocide [1/2 Disks]
GM176B: Alien Genocide [2/2 Disks]
It's a dirty job but somebody's gotta do
it.
Operation Wolf style first person
perspective shoot em up. Controlled via
the mouse and cross hairs for gunsights
you have to blast the alien infestation
on board the space ship Grant. Each
level features an underlying mission
which contributes to the success of
the entire battle.
GM177: Island
2 player Monopoly(ish) genre board game
where the players are out to build hotels
and casinos to make as much money as
possible and bankrupt the opponent.
Needs a little time to get into.
GM178: Doomer [AGA] [HARD DRIVED REQUIRED]
Doom clone which is visually the best
I'll seen so far. The screen size is
adjustable to speed thing up on a
slower processor, but really does
need a fast computer to appreciate
the programme. This is an early
beta version with nothing to shoot,
simply a vast complex of rooms and
corridors and stairs to admire.
Superb clear textured and light
sourced surfaces.
This is the closest Doom look-a-like
to date.
GM179: Slider
Simply a sliding block puzzle game.
Rearrange the blocks in numerical
sequence.
GM180: Carnage
Two player only one on one fight to the
death. Split screen on one computer,
null modem link between two Amiga'a and
even a modem telephone link feature for
long distance mayhem.
The players find themselves within the
walls of a maze like arena. Although the
aim is to destroy the other player,
battle droids also roam the area for
good measure.
Lots of fab weapons lie around the place
all which have their own special
devastating properties.
GM181: Mastermind
Puzzle game of logic and deduction.
Work out the coloured coded
sequence.
GM183: Pssst TURBO
Based on the Spectrum game. Protect
the flower from insect pests with an
assortment of spray pesticides. Each
pesticide will kill only a certain
type of pest and you have to
continually swap the cans around.
GM184: Screech
Car racing game.
GM186: Glassback II
Quite entertaining platform romp with a
strange 8 bit appeal. Platform and ladder
game where you have to pick up the stars,
avoid or stun the roaming enemy and
reach the exit. Cute graphics and a
nice tune.
GM187: Fears 2
Impressive Doom clone of a new commercial
game. Not quite up to PC Doom quality due
to the slow processor found in the popular
entry level Amiga system, but not bad at
all.
Fears places you in the closest thing to
a virtual reality simulation on your Amiga.
This is a 3D first person perspective
blaster using texture mapping technology
to generate detailed life like surfaces.
GM188A: Card Games Deluxe [AGA] [HD] [4MB+] [1/3 Disks]
GM188B: Card Games Deluxe [AGA] [HD] [4MB+] [2/3 Disks]
GM188C: Card Games Deluxe [AGA] [HD] [4MB+] [3/3 Disks]
This game allows you to use the same
card sets that are used with Klondike
Deluxe, however Card Games Deluxe
comprises of Poker and Black Jack.
GM190: Beetle
Interesting platform game.
You control a strange looking creature
whoose job is to reach the top of the
wall. This is accomplished by completing
100 levels of platform mayhem, collecting
the fruits, stomping on slugs etc..
GM191A: Child Murderer AGA [AGA] [1/4 Disks]
GM191B: Child Murderer AGA [AGA] [2/4 Disks]
GM191C: Child Murderer AGA [AGA] [3/4 Disks]
GM191D: Child Murderer AGA [AGA] [4/4 Disks]
GM192A: Child Murderer ECS [1/3 Disks]
GM192B: Child Murderer ECS [2/3 Disks]
GM192C: Child Murderer ECS [3/3 Disks]
Sinister graphic adventure game. You are butler
turned would be kidnaper who ends up falsly
accused of murdering the child you intended
kidnap. In this game you must clear your name.
GM193: Diamond Caves v1
Boulder Dash game for fans of this type of
arcade puzzle genre.
GM194: Jet Set Willy 3
Based on the spectrum classic.
GM195: Blox
Arcade jigsaw puzzle game. Demo
version.
GM196: Blox - Lion King Set
New set of tiles for Blox.
GM197: Springtime
An outstanding commercial quality arcade
puzzler which has the simplicity to allow
you to start playing straight away and
the addictive qualities for a long lasting
shelf life.
The game requires you to move platforms
so that the spring is made to land on the
flashing X. This description is fairy
vague because it's rather difficult to
describe in a few words.
The game is very original opting for an
over head 3D view that works extremely
well.
GM198: Alien Breed 3D [AGA]
Team 17's demo version of an attempt to
create a Doom clone. Not bad graphics but
do not come close the PC game, alas the
slow speed of standard Amiga is unable
to run in a Hi-resolution screen mode
in 256 colours at an acceptable speed
when dealing with the complicated
textured mapping routines.
GM199: Charr v1
Artillery game where 2 or more human or
CPU players get to fire upto 80 different
types of weapons at each other. The player
has to set angle and power before firing
which leads to a trial and error routine
as the players fine tune the settings to
reach the enemy gun.
The game comes into it's own when playing
with a friend.
GM200: Catapults
Two player medieval combat game. Each
player has to build a castle be
begin with. Once completed the players
take in turn to move their catapults
and fire a boulder at the enemy
construction.
GM201: Its the Pits
Short playable demo version of this
thrust style arcade game with good
tunnel sequence bonus levels.

GM224: Battle Duel
Artillery game for 1 or more players.
The contestants are placed on either
side of an elaborate hill top where
the players take turns to fire a
single round at the other artillery
gun.
GM225: Battle Duel [AGA]
The same game but for AGA only.
GM226: Gloom [AGA]
A Doom clone that has a 2 player split
screen feature so two players can join
forces or fight each other within the
textured mapped maze. The small screen
area allows a good frame update on even
a standard A1200.
GM227: War of the Worlds 4 [AGA]
3D Construction Kit game. A virtual reality
game where you have to stop the Alien
invasion.
GM228: King High
Card game.
GM229: We are Pals
Two to four player overhead tank
battle game. Demo version.
GM230: Dominoes
Good idea but playing the computer at a
game of Dominoes isn't exactly hugely
entertaining as a past time.
GM231: Car Business
In this game Demo you are director of a
multi million dollar car manufacturer and
you want to stay that way. The aim is to
make money, loads money. Business
strategy game.
GM232: The Therapist
Based on Elisa a system to allow your
computer to talk to you as it were human.
The system asks you a simple question
and attempts to eleborate on the subject
and string together sentances based on
what you have said, with some kind of
statement or further question.
This programme uses the Elisa engine to
make a computer psychotherapist to help
you with your problems. Speech, text
and an animated head of the therapist
make up the simple front end.
Quite entertaining but shouldn't be
taken too seriously.
GM233: Supreme Fighter
Sad looking beat-em-up. Mono graphics that
look like they've come from the Spectrum.
GM234: Tommy Tankers
2 Player split screen tank battle game.
Very simple graphics and rubish feel
to the tanks control system.
Could and should have been a lot
better.
GM235: Wheel Chair Gladiators
Fantastic game where the wheel bound
competitors speed and weave around the
enclosed arena hitting the other
contestants into submission. Ram em,
punch em, pick up bricks, bottles,
and baseball bats for extra kill
power. At the end of match, a close
up replay on how the last player
beats the other guy up is shown.
GM236A: Masquerade [AGA] [1/2 Disks]
GM236B: Masquerade [AGA] [2/2 Disks]
Puzzle collect em up set within a dark
and deep dungeon. A mix of other puzzle
formulas that in my opinion lack
something to make it special.
GM237A: Wally World [1/2 Disks]
GM237B: Wally World [1/2 Disks]
Luvly Jubbly, cute and well presented
flip screen platform game where each
screen has an different attractive
backdrop. You have to dodge and jump
all the way through the enlarged
world were rolls of film and small
boxes and the like make up the
stationary platforms and bridges.
GM238: Evasive Aksion
Poor platform and ladders game involving
the task of collecting the crystals to
complete the level while dodging the
RDT2 starwars robots. Blocky, jerky and
a complete lack of playability.
GM239: Bomb
Lame Dynablasters clone for upto 4
players and at least 2.
GM240A: Star Trek [1/2 Disks]
GM240B: Star Trek [2/2 Disks]
Jimbo Barbers Star Trek game. Go where
no man has gone before and play the
part of the Enterprise's captain in this
epic strategy game.
GM241A: Star Trek [DISK 1/2]
GM241B: Star Trek [DISK 2/2]
Top animator, Tobias Richter's game
based on Star Trek. Fly through the
galaxy blasting klingons, orbiting
planets and taking on missions in this
reduced 5 year mission. Excellent
sound effects from the classic series
really enhance the game.
GM242: Psycheual
A deadly virus has infected a crew of a
research ship. The ship now has to be
decommissioned and that's your job.
An alien breed overhead view with a
similiar graphics style and gore
too. Spare ammos, medikits and consoles
are dotted around the ship and a strange
floor pattern design.
It's a bloody mess. GET BLASTING.
GM243: Last Lap v1.0 [2MB+]
Top-down racing game which is excellent
fun to play and sporting quality graphics
throughout the tracks. The main features
include 4 cars at once, scrolling and
2 player split screen action.
The only flaw in the game is the way
the CPU cars look like they're on rails
never crashing or taking a corner too
wide, and off the grid the other
cars accelerate away right from the
start of the race. You can really
hope to get second place, which is
all that's need to qualify for the
following race, but it does mean
you're rarely in contention of
winning.

GM245A: The Pyramid Game [1/2 Disks]
GM245B: The Pyramid Game [2/2 Disks]
Based on a series of well known speccy
games, you fly an armed bubble ship
which you use to blast the aliens and
get through the exits. It's a simple
game formula and is nicely programmed
though hasn't aged well. Not a classic
but fairly entertaining all the same.
GM246: SpellTris
A variation on the Tetris formula. Instead
of falling blocks, you must make up words
with the falling letters. Exercises the
reflexes and brain.
GM247A: Star Trek [1/3 Disks]
GM247B: Star Trek [2/3 Disks]
GM247C: Star Trek [3/3 Disks]
Star Trek adventure using digitised
graphic and sound effects.
The game is similiar to the commercial
Commodore 64 Star Trek game.
GM248: Deluxe Pacman ECS
GM249: Deluxe Pacman AGA
The finest Pacman game known to man. It
is as far I'm concerned. By the same
talented author as Deluxe Galaga.
The graphics are gorgeous, but what
makes the game so special is the
gameplay.
GM250: Bratwurst v1.01 [AGA]
Another great game on the Thrust/Rocketz
theme. 2 to 4 players fly in spaces ships
shooting each other to the death. The
difference here is the unique graphics
engine. A Virtual Fighter kind of system
where when the ships get closer to each
other the screen zooms closer to the
action, and when farther apart the
screen zooms out. No split screen
required.
GM251: Thesius XII
Pretty decent horizontally scrolling
shoot-em-up game that looks a litte
like R-Type.
GM252: Spaced Out
Two full version arcade games.
Ace The Space Case and Sound The
Space Cadet.
Both are really fine arcade platform
games.
GM253: Breaking Bricks [AGA] [HARD DRIVE REQUIRED]
Tasty looking break out game. An old
concept that is still very entertaining
nowadays. Supplied on the disk in an
.LHA archive since it is too big to
fit on a normal disk unpacked.
GM254A: Klondike III [AGA] [4MB] [1/6 Disks]
GM254B: Klondike III [AGA] [4MB] [2/6 Disks]
GM254C: Klondike III [AGA] [4MB] [3/6 Disks]
GM254D: Klondike III [AGA] [4MB] [4/6 Disks]
GM254E: Klondike III [AGA] [4MB] [5/6 Disks]
GM254F: Klondike III [AGA] [4MB] [6/6 Disks]
Klondike Deluxe for Floppy Drive users.
GM255: Battle Trucks
Remote controlled 2 player vehicle combat
game.
GM256: Rash Panic
Real sad looking platform game. The aim
is to kill the aliens that roam the
screen. Bad C64 looking graphics and
poor sound fx.
