  14. │ Troubleshooting:                                                   │ │

  16. │ Make sure all files from the original BATS.ZIP are in the          │ │
  17. │ same directory, and that you start the game from that directory.   │ │
  18. │                                                                    │ │
  19. │ If you run the game from floppy or a very slow hard disk, you may  │ │
  20. │ notice a slow-down in the music and animation between rounds. This │ │
  21. │ is normal.                                                         │ │
  22. │                                                                    │ │
  23. │ If you are tired of seeing the intro everytime you play, choose    │ │
  24. │ INTRO in the OTHER menu from inside the game, and it will change   │ │
  25. │ to INTRO:OFF.                                                      │ │

  27. │ Most settings are saved in a file called BATS.SET. Keyboard        │ │
  28. │ settings are in BATS.KEY, and joystick settings are in BATS.JOY.   │ │
  29. │ You can erase these files to reset the game back to its default    │ │
  30. │ settings.                                                          │ │

  32. │ A few joysticks don't work with this game. If yours is one of      │ │
  33. │ them, please notify us of your brand of joystick. Enjoy the game   │ │
  34. │ using a mouse or the keyboard. Thanks.                             │ │

  36. │ This shareware version wraps back to Round 1 after you complete    │ │
  37. │ Round 21- this is normal. Level 2 and Level 3 plus the win         │ │
  38. │ sequence are available for the price of registration.              │ │

  40. │ If the game is too difficult: It always seems that way at first-   │ │
  41. │ keep playing and you will improve! Remember to move up and down    │ │
  42. │ to avoid bats that come from the sides.                            │ │
