a. The ODDS/PLACE/BUY or ODDS/DPLACE/LAY menu is designed to
show the user which numbers are available for FREE ODDS (a previously
established bet through the PASS/DON'T PASS or COME/DON'T COME bet
selection). These numbers will be flagged with GREEN. When a green
flagged number is selected the computer will automatically place
the FREE ODDS BET for the user in the amount of the original bet on
that number times (X) the current TABLE ODDS. For ODDS BETS taken
through DON'T PASS/COME bets, the potential pay off is the original
amount bet for that DON'T PASS/COME number times the current TABLE
ODDS. The cost of the bet is then computed to be the potential
pay off times the true odds for that number. The TRUE ODDS used
for computing payoffs for COME/PASS BETS or bet costs for DON'T
COME/PASS bets are listed below and can be seen by selecting the
FIELD BET "HELP". The payoffs for place bets are different and
can be seen on the FIELD BET "HELP" screen.
(TRUE ODDS)
POINT NUMBER ODDS OF A REPEAT BEFORE A 7 SHOWS
4 OR 10 2 TO 1
5 OR 9 3 TO 2
6 OR 8 6 TO 5
b. BET COMPUTATION: Numbers not Flagged GREEN are available
for PLACE BETS if you are betting PASS/COME, or LAY BETS if your
are betting DON'T PASS/COME. You then select the amount of money
you desire to bet for the PLACE BET, or the potential pay off for
the LAY BET. The computer then places the bet for you. NOTE: For
LAY BETS, the amount of the bet cost is computed as the potential
pay off times (X) the true odds for that number. Also, casinos
charge a 5% commission on the potential payoff for LAY bets.
The game computes this commission, shows it to you and then
subtracts it from your stake.
c: BUY or LAY BETS: To input a Buy or Lay Bet, move the
hand pointer to the Buy or Lay Bets menu choice. Push RETURN or
the LEFT MOUSE KEY and the Buy or Lay Bets menu choice will flag
from green to yellow. When the Buy or Lay Bet choice is flagged
yellow, all numbers not already taken with another BUY or FREE ODDS
bet will also flag yellow. Any yellow number is now open for a
Buy or Lay bet. Numbers with previous PLACE BETS on them may also
have a BUY BET or FREE ODDS BET placed on them. Any Buy or Lay
bet is displayed on the craps table with a BUY BUTTON (a chip
with the letter B) marked on it. However, if the bet number has
an underlying PLACE BET or DON'T PLACE BET, the PLACE BET/DON'T
PLACE BET has visual priority and will hide the buy button until
the PLACE/DON'T PLACE BET is removed.
1. When you have completed making your Buy or Lay
bets, move the hand pointer to the Buy or Lay selection again and
press ENTER or the LEFT MOUSE KEY. All yellow numbers will now
flag back to their original color and the Buy or Lay bet selec-
tion will flag back to green.
2. Any numbers flagged white or bright red are open
for Place Bets (right betters) or Don't Place Bets (wrong bet-
ters). Any green flagged number is open for a Free Odds bet.
d. PLACE BETS OFF: The menu choice is flagged DARK RED
until a Place Bet is made. Once a Place Bet is detected, the
Place Bets Off will flag to green to indicate you may now select
this choice. When selected, the Place Bets Off choice will flag
to yellow to indicate it is now active. This selection may be
toggled from available (green) to active (yellow). The Place
Bets Off choice will call all place bets off for that one roll
only. The wrong betters menu does not have a Don't Place Bets
Off choice since all wrong bets are always working and can not
be called off.
e. REMOVE BETS: This item will remove any active bet made
through this menu. The REMOVE BETS choice is flagged DARK RED
and cannot be accessed until a bet is made. Once a bet is made
the flag will change to green. When selected, the flag will turn
yellow to indicate that any previously taken FREE ODDS BET or
BUY/LAY BET can now be removed. Only previous FREE ODDS BETS or
BUY/LAY BETS will flag on their respective numbers to indicate
the bets to be removed. If PLACE or DON'T PLACE bets have been
made, you can choose to remove them by toggling the REMOVE BETS
selection. If PLACE or DON'T PLACE bets are active, the flag
will change to the PLACE/DON'T PLACE color and the numbers with
these bets will also show their flags. To remove a bet, point to
the number and push the left mouse key. When removing any BUY or
LAY bet, the commission charged when the bet was made will also
be returned. To exit the REMOVE BETS selection you must toggle
the REMOVE BETS flag back to green.
NOTE: Since the payoff for both Free Odds bets and Buy or Lay
bets are the same, they are both flagged BRIGHT RED when they
have been placed. If a number has had both a FREE ODDS or
BUY/LAY bet plus a PLACE BET established on it, the flag for that
number will turn DARK RED. When an item is flagged DARK RED,
access is not allowed. A talk icon will be displayed with
appropriate information when applicable.
RULES FOR COME / PLACE BETS:
1. Odds placed on COME BETS are off during COME OUT rolls.
2. All ODDS for COME numbers are returned to the player if a 7
is rolled on the COME OUT roll, but the basic COME bet loses.
3. If a number repeats for a COME BET on the COME OUT roll, the
COME BET wins, but any ODDS placed on this number are OFF and are
returned to the player.
4. PLACE BETS may be declared OFF for any roll. To do this,
select the PLACE BETS OFF (1 ROLL) item from the ODDS menu. This
item will be flagged RED (not available for input) until a PLACE
BET is made. It will then be flagged GREEN (available for
selection) and if selected will be flagged YELLOW.
OPTIONS MENU
1. Items available for selection from this menu are flagged GREEN.
If the item is not available for selection it is flagged RED.
Items selected are flagged with YELLOW.
2. MESSAGE DELAY: Provides a means to speed up or slow down game
play. This changes the amount of time the results the STICKMAN
announces after each roll stays on the screen before he then
announces how much money was won or lost on that roll.
3. SOUNDS:
a. SOUNDS ON/OFF: Allows selection of low tones to signify
a change of menus or events.
b. SOUND BLASTER: If the computer system does not have a SOUND
BLASTER compatible card recognized by the game, or the voice pack
for this game was not ordered, this box will be flagged RED. If a
SOUND BLASTER is detected and the Voice Pack is available, this flag
will initially be GREEN indicating the SOUND BLASTER can be selected.
The SOUND BLASTER must be toggled on (flag turns yellow) to hear the
sound effects and voices. The SOUND BLASTER can be toggled ON/OFF
with this selection. The sound blaster state (either on or off) is
save when the game is quit. This information is reloaded when a
new game is started.
NOTE: The unregistered version of this program is supplied without any
sound effects or voice files in order to save disk space. The un-
registered version always has a red flag in the Sound Blaster box.
4. BET OPTIONS:
a. BET UNITS: When bet units is greater than 0, the bet amount
can be selected from the BET UNIT up to 5 times the bet unit. The
bet unit range is $1 to $100.
b. BET OPTIMIZATION: When on; the ODDS, PLACE, BUY, DON'T PLACE
and LAY bets are adjusted (if necessary) to provide maximum casino
pay off for the ODDS on that bet.
5. WRONG WAY BETS: This allows the user to change from PASS/COME
BETS to DON'T PASS/COME BETS. When selected, the main SELECT BET
menu will change to DON'T PASS/COME and the ODDS/PLACE BET menu
will change to ODDS/LAY BET. This menu option is available when
playing the game with the keyboard keys "W" for Wrong Way Bets, or
"R" for Right Way Bets.
4. ROLL TECHNIQUES: When it is your turn to roll the dice, This
Item will flag GREEN. When green you can access the TECHNIQUES
menu that will allow you to choose which hand to roll the dice
with and how many times to shake them before rolling.
5. CHANGE ODDS: This item is used to change the TABLE ODDS in use.
The default is 2 X ODDS. Any number between 1 an 10 can be
entered, but if an odd number is entered the computer will round
it up to the next higher even number.
FIELD BET - HARD NUMBERS BET - CENTER TABLE BET
1. These bet catagories have extensive on line help associated
with each. To see the Help page for these items, move the hand
pointer to the bet catagory desired then push the "H" key.
MONEY MANAGEMENT TABLES
F1: - RESULTS LAST ROLL: This table provides a convenient way
for the user to see a summary of the bets and their payoffs or
losses from the previous roll. If many bets were pending during
the roll, it provides a convenient way to review each bet and
see how it turned out during that roll. The menu selection
"RESULTS" at the top of the screen allows for mouse activation
of this function.
NOTE: Numbers posted with this function are the result of the
LAST ROLL only. Bets placed before rolling the dice are not
displayed with this function.
F2. - SESSION HISTORY (NUMBER BETS): This table shows a history of
the number of bets that have been placed in each bet catagory and
the payoff percentage of that bet catagory. The payoff percentage
is the ratio of how many times that particular bet catagory has won
divided by the number of times that bet catagory received a bet.
The menu selection "# HISTORY" at the top of the screen allows for
mouse selection of this function. The information displayed is....
1. NUMBER BET: The number of times the user bet a particular bet.
2. NUMBER of WINNERS: The number of times that bet won or lost.
3. NUMBER of LOSERS: The ratio of times the bet paid off versus
the number of times it was bet. (expressed as a percentage)
The table is designed to show all possible bets individually.
The information in this table is more normalized after a large
number of rolls has been completed. See below for a sample table
lay out.

(1) (2) (3) (4)
NOTE: Any time a bet is placed it will be reflected in the first
column. A running total is kept of the bets placed in each category.
Any Odds that may be returned as a result of game play
are not subtracted from the total bets in that category so it may
be possible to have a total number of bets (column 1) that is
greater than the sum of the NUMBER of WINNERS or the NUMBER of
LOSERS. The PAYOFF PERCENTAGE is always a ratio or the total NUMBER
BET versus the NUMBER of WINNERS.
Pass/Come bets are added to each time a bet is placed on the
PASS or COME line. Odds taken on the number established through
the PASS/COME bets or any BUY bets a FREE ODDS bet will increment
the associated NUMBER BET bet in column #1. A seperate block is
reserved for PLACE BETS and OTHER BETS. WRONG WAY or DON'T bets
are implemented in the same manner. The user can reference this
table to show which bets are providing a higher % of payoffs during
his or her combined sessions. Total number of bets made, total
number of dice rolls, and overall payoff % are displayed at the end
of this table.
F3. - SESSION HISTORY (DOLLAR AMOUNTS): This table is very similar
to the one seen with the F2 key except that it tracks total dollar
amounts bet, won, and lost rather than the number of times bet.
The menu selection "$ HISTORY" at the top of the screen allows for
mouse selection of this function.
NOTE: The information for both F2 and F3 will be valid for any
number of games played provided that you do NOT quit playing
ULTIMATE CRAPS with unresolved bets pending on the table. In other
words, you must delay quitting the game until a Seven Out has
provided payoffs or has removed all the bets from the table in
order to insure that this data reflects all bets to completion.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. The table character now rolling or the person next to roll
can now be identified by the dice being place directly in front
of that character's position at the table.
2. When selecting a bet choice, the "Casino Advantage" is
displayed on the screen before the bet is placed.
MOUSE AND KEYBOARD IMPLEMENTATION
1. Mouse. Drag the hand pointer to the menu item desired and push
the left mouse button to implement it. Push the right mouse button
to produce the same effect as positioning the hand pointer to the
last menu item and pressing the left mouse key. After each roll, the
game will stop when the stickman announces the results. Push the
left mouse key to ready the game for the next dice roll.
2. Keyboard. Move the hand pointer with the arrow keys and select
an item by pressing Enter. The space key produces the same result
as moving the hand pointer to the last menu item and pressing enter.
After each roll, the game will stop when the stickman announces the
results. Push any keyboard key to ready the game for the next dice
roll.
BIG 6 & BIG 8
1. BIG 6 & BIG 8 -- These bets are commonly availabe in Vegas,
but are not usually found in Atlantic City. These are terrible
bets in that the house has a tremendous edge. If you want to
bet the 6 or 8, you have much better odds by PLACING a bet on these
numbers. BIG 6 & BIG 8 bets are not implemented in this game.

** ---> OPERATION "JUST BECAUSE"
This is a fully animated classic battle ship type game. You play against
one of 3 of the enemy's top commanders in a classic battle ship setting.
A couple of twists adds fun and excitement to the action. Use your
Infrared heat scope to help in locating the enemy's ships. Each side
can have one jet fighter helping in the attack. Each side can have up to
2 mines randomly placed in the opponent's waters. Play at night or day time.
Each side has 2 jammmers (electronic and heat) that will compound the
others problems in trying to use electronic or infrared means to locate
the other's ships. If either side's jammers take damage, the other side
becomes much more effective when using its' Infrared scope and jet fighter.
