  56. DEMO DISTRIBUTION
  57. You may distribute the non-registered shareware version of 
  58. Operation: Inner Space to others, but may not distribute Inner
  59. Space for direct or indirect profit by any means, except through express 
  60. written agreement with Software Dynamics, inc. In all cases, you must 
  61. abide by the following to distribute Inner Space:
  62. 1) You may only distribute a non-registered shareware version.
  63. 2) You must clearly show that the copy of Inner Space is unregistered 
  64. shareware and that Software Dynamics, inc is the sole owner of all 
  65. copyright and interest in the game.
  66. 3) You must include all files originally in this package.

  68. INSTALLING
  69. You must first be in the Windows environment to install Inner Space.
  70. 1) Unzip INSPACE.ZIP in a temporary directory. 
  71. There should be 27 files created, including SETUP.EXE. 
  72. 2) Run SETUP.EXE, the Inner Space installer.  
  73. 3) Install Inner Space to a new directory (C:\SPACE by default) or over an
  74. existing copy of Inner Space to upgrade it.

  76. STARTING TO PLAY
  77. Run Inner Space (INSPACE.EXE) from Windows.  During the game intro, press 'ESC' to
  78. start a new game. Select a ship to fly into Inner Space.  To start playing, just 
  79. use the arrow keys (Thrust=UP, Turn=LEFT, RIGHT, Brake=DOWN). Use Shift or SPACEBAR
  80. to shoot. For more information about the game, see the online help (press F1 or F2).

  82. SCREEN SAVERS 
  83. Inner Space comes with a configurable screen saver interface so that a changing
  84. game demonstration can be your screen saving display.

  86. SHIP FACTORY
  87. With the Ship Factory, you can compare the characteristics of all the ships 
  88. in the game and also make custom ships for use in Inner Space!

  90. TECH SUPPORT
  91. We provide tech suppport by phone, fax, email, and regular mail.  If you have access 
  92. to CompuServe, GO GAMDPUB and look in section 18 (Software Dynamics) for Inner Space 
  93. upgrades, hints, and technical support.

  95. If reporting a problem with the game, please tell us if you can repeat the 
  96. problem and provide all information necessary for us to repeat it.  If we can't 
  97. repeat the problem, it will be very hard to fix it.

  99. MEMORY
  100. If the game halts with an error, it may be that Windows is low on memory.  
  101. Please check that Windows is set up to use at least 2Mb of virtual memory.  To see or 
  102. change Virtual Memory settings, open the "386 Enhanced" item from the Windows Control
  103. Panel (CONTROL.EXE).

  105. VIDEO DRIVERS
  106. Inner Space has been extensively tested, but there may be problems with some video cards.  
  107. We can devise workarounds for such cards if we know about the problem. If there is a crash
  108. or error when the game is loading graphics, please try to reproduce the problem and tell us
  109. so that we can get working on a fix.

  111. MIDI MUSIC
  112. If Inner Space's music has incorrect or missing instruments, check your MIDI 
  113. mapper settings (in Windows Control Panel).  For Enhanced midi sound cards, use 
  114. channels 1-10, Basic midi sound cards use channels 11-16.
