Version 42.4 -- Released 30 June 1995
15.6.95
Added a test for digits after non-vowel phonemes.
Reversed and fixed up this history file.
10.6.95
Added Klingon accent
5.6.95
Added Icelandic accent
-----------------------
Version 42.3 -- Released 16 May 1995
16.5.95
Add $VER to prefs DONE.
Activate window startup DONE.
New menu prefs. DONE.
Localise prefs -- I use GadToolsBox so it is unlikely.
9.5.95
Right hand sides can now be plain text instead of phonemes.
The are re-translated.
-----------------------
Version 42.2 -- Released 28 April 1995
28.4.95
Fixed a nasty bug to do with signed chars cast to ints
not being the same as unsigned chars cast to ints. This affected
classes containing 8-bit characters.
Set up a home page:
http://www.comp.vuw.ac.nz/~ffranc/amiga/translator.html
19.4.95
Apparently there is a bug in the prefs editor. Layout not working on
a large Retina display.
-----------------------
Version 42.1 -- 9 April 1995
9.4.95
Now checks the right-hand-sides of rules for legal phonemes.
This may back-fire later if a new version of the Narrator-device is
even written so I implemeted a %complain directive to turn this
off if necessary. If a future accent file is written, complaining
can be turned off.
7.4.95
In "Accent" I forgot to open the DOS library!!! No wonder it didn't work.
This was discovered by thoroughly testing the system on KS 1.3 after a
complaint of gurus on using the library. Well it works for me using
ReloKick13 on my 1200 and 500. Fixed "Accent".
Fixed Translator prefs program which did not set the accent properly
when you re-loaded the accent.
-----------------------
Version 42.0 -- 1 April 1995 as "translator.lha"
Version 42.0 -- 3 April 1995 as "translator42.lha"
3.4.94
Added Finnish (Suomi) to the archive. Osma Ahvenlampi, who wrote it,
asked me to allow the level added in automatic syllabic stress
to be specified. Finnish needed something less that 4. Maybe Italian
should have something higher.
After a change in language ends ie: "\maori{Waharoa}" just before the last
"}" the system changed back to the outside language, say English, before
ending the word. So I add a fake "#" before the "}" so that the Maori word
is stressed using the Maori rules not English.
