  4. The following features have been requested and may be implemented:

  6. - Subscript/superscript
  7. - XACC-support
  8. - Drag & drop for MultiTOS
  9. - When changing window size reformat text to suit
  10. - Solve problems with @image coordinates & various fonts
  11. - Interface for display modules
  12. - Direct return to a page by 'Stack pop-up'
  13. - Extra/Copy should first delete all files from the Clipboard
  14. - Direct setting of tab size
  15. - 1stConv: Direct support for IFF, in addition to IMG.

  17. Known limitations:

  19. - ST-GUIDE: No sound support
  20. - ST-GUIDE: No colour image support (can currently be viewed in mono)
  21. - ST-GUIDE: ST Medium resolution bombs unless NVDI is installed, this is 
  22.             currently under investigation.

  33. ST-Guide : Problem not releasing memory after rx-events fixed
  34. ST-Guide : All VA_START events are now, where necessary, send out with a 
  35.            mxalloc requested buffer.
  36. ST-Guide : During horizontal scrolling by page the button bar now scrolls 
  37.            correctly.
  38. ST-Guide : New variable ARROWPATCH added to the INF file; When active 
  39.            this removes a bug in the AES which prevents the scroll arrows 
  40.            in Windowed ACCs working correctly with some TOS versions
  41. ST-Guide : If in der ersten Seite ein toc gesetzt war, wurde der

  68. ST-Guide : The number block keys +/- keys now function as alternative 
  69.            shortcuts for Page Down and Page Up. [Control]+[CursorDown] and 
  70.            [Control]+[CursorUp] still function.
  71. ST-Guide : Searching in REF files can now be aborted by holding down 
  72.            both [Shift] keys.
  73. ST-Guide : Colour images are now displayed correctly, although they're 
  74.            still only displayed in monochrome.

  81. ST-Guide : Movement using the sliders in the 'Reference list' with less 
  82.            than ten entries no longer leads to errors.
  83. ST-Guide : The keyboard shortcuts [Alt]+T and [Alt]+X were transmitted 
  84.            to the active application, now fixed.
  85. ST-Guide : Block marking now functions on pages containing boxes.
  86. ST-Guide : The 'Find' dialog now works properly with Let 'em Fly.
  87. ST-Guide : Images are now correctly redrawn after opening a pop-up node 
  88.            over them.
  89. ST-Guide : Built-in TOS 2.06 patch removed again because it caused 
  90.            problems with MultiTOS gab (MultiTOS is evidently not, in 
  91.            this position, correctly executing an evnt_multi 
  92.            (...MU_TIMER...). Button-Events suffer a large delay.
  93. ST-Guide : Click handling changed as follows:
  94.            1. No delay any more
  95.            2. Double clicks ALWAYS lead to a reference
  96.            3. Faster single click selects the reference
  97.            4. Click and drag to mark a block
  98. ST-Guide : If a search mask wasn't found, which contained the 
  99.            characters '|', ']' or '[' this caused problems with the 
  100.            Alert box displayed, now fixed.
  101. ST-Guide : In the hit list the 'Cancel' button and entries are no 
  102.            longer TOUCHEXIT, therefore the dialog is removed after the 
  103.            mouse button is clicked and ST-Guide is displayed again.
  104. ST-Guide : Problems with small Y values for WINSIZE now fixed.
  105. ST-Guide : Following many requests the Block pop-up now has a left 
  106.            edge.
  107. ST-Guide : Over length masks no longer spill out of the right hand side 
  108.            of the 'Find' dialog.
  109. ST-Guide : When flicking through a hypertext a page at a time the 
  110.            buttons are no longer redrawn each page.
  111. ST-Guide : When flicking through a hypertext a page at a time the last 
  112.            line on a page is now the last line in the window.
  113. ST-Guide : Blocks can no longer be marked in background windows because 
  114.            this was causing errors!
  115. ST-Guide : [Tab] and [Shift]+[Tab] should now (finally) work correctly.
  116. ST-Guide : During transfer of messages via 'rx' the memory for the 
  117.            command line is now requested via Mxalloc where possible.
  118.           (Warning: This is untested!)
  119. ST-Guide : Starting external viewers as programs from ST-Guide with 
  120.            non-hypertext parameters now works again.
  121. ST-Guide : No longer crashes if a block past the text end is marked and 
  122.            an action is triggered.
  123. ST-Guide : The correct title now appears in the Window title line, even 
  124.            if the main page has no title.
  125. HCP      : No longer crashes if a page name 'Index' is defined in a 
  126.            hypertext.
  127. 1stConv  : Now usuable again! The last version was broken!
  128. Documents: Error in description of @index corrected.
  129. Documents: Desciption of '-i' and '-j' corrected.

  133. ST-Guide : Scrolling from keyboard no longer overruns 
  134. ST-Guide : Scrolling from keyboard now faster 
  135. ST-Guide : Scrolling by slider no longer flickers (much)
  136. ST-Guide : Support for WINX scrollboxes 
  137. ST-Guide : When a non-hypertext file is called and EXTVIEW exists 
  138.            the ST-Guide window is no longer opened unnecessarily.
  139. ST-Guide : Small error in finding the hypertext file referred to in the 
  140.            REF-file fixed.
  141. ST-Guide : REF-search changed again: Following many requests the search 
  142.            is first made for exact (case sensitive) correspondences; if 
  143.            there are several matches then a 'Continue' button appears 
  144.            in the list of matches so that a search for similarities can 
  145.            be made later.
  146. ST-Guide : If an argument not marked as a cross-reference was chosen 
  147.            and its explanation was present in the same file, then the 
  148.            current page was not stored in the stack.
  149. ST-Guide : From now an an English language version of ST-Guide is also 
  150.            available.
  151. ST-Guide : Problems during loading of ASCII files with veeery long 
  152.            lines that also contain Tab characters fixed.
  153. ST-Guide : Under multi-tasking systems messages are no longer 
  154.            dispatched to Application #0.
  155. HCP      : Option '+x' doesn't write the page titles only in the index 
  156.            but consequently also into the REF-file.
  157. HCP      : Less ambiguous error messages incorporated.
  158. HCP      : Stack enlarged, so that even very long files should no 
  159.            longer cause crashes.
  160. HCP      : Now uses up to 4 MB main memory, in place of 1MB previously.
  161. HCP      : Problems with umlauts in the auto-referencer fixed.
  162. HCP      : Should be faster for texts with lots of nodes.
  163. RefLink  : With '-d' one can now also use HYP as an extension; 
  164.            previously the names had to be input without an extension or 
  165.            with a REF extension.
  166. STool    : Internal changes; now one can also read where which 
  167.            hypertext has been found.
  168. STool    : No endless loop with defective hypertexts any more.
  169. 1stConv  : Problems with variable spaces in cross-references fixed.
  170. 1stConv  : '+z' now set as a default.
  171. 1stConv  : The name of the main file is now adopted as '@symbol' in the 
  172.            first page, so that after conversion of CATGUIDE, for 
  173.            instance, this reference ("CATGUIDE") will also be found.
  174. Documents: In the description of the listings the high and low values 
  175.            of the pointers were reversed everywhere...

  179. ST-Guide : The 'Help' key works again...
  180. ST-Guide : Under certain conditions the entire text could appear 
  181.            inverted, now fixed.
  182. ST-Guide : Keyboard shortcuts are now handled as follows:
  183.            - If MUSTCTRL is set, then ONLY WITH [Control]
  184.            - If MUSTCTRL not set, then ONLY WITHOUT [Control]
  185.            -> As many shortcuts as possible can now be passed on 
  186.            to the main application.
  187. ST-Guide : The list of matches will now be shown if only a similar 
  188.            reference has been found.
  189. ST-Guide : The list of matches, besides the node names, now also shows 
  190.            the appropriate label (if 'X' is being searched for and a 
  191.            label X exists on a page Y then both Y as well as X will be 
  192.            displayed).
  193. ST-Guide : List of matches can now be operated completely from the 
  194.            keyboard:
  195.            - Cursor keys set selection 
  196.            - Return == Click on match line 
  197.            - UNDO == Cancel 
  198.            - W == Continue
  199. ST-Guide : First changes to the code for displaying pictures; hopefully 
  200.            picture display in colour now works.
  201. HCP      : Multiple endnodes are now signalled and no longer cause 
  202.            problems.
  203. HCP      : Under certain circumstances cross-references were set 
  204.            automatically to the current node, now fixed.
  205. RefLink  : Screen display error with '-d' fixed.
  206. 1st-Conv : Stupid error that could lead to garbled file names fixed.
  207. 1st-Conv : Now reads the last line of a file even when this is not 
  208.            terminated with a 'newline'.
  209. 1st-Conv : Protected against over-long lines, which could lead to 
  210.            problems under Mag!C.
  211. 1st-Conv : Error in connection with links to nodes that contain 
  212.            quotation marks, now fixed.
  213. PC-Conv  : Protected against over-long lines, which could lead to 
  214.            problems under MagiC!
  215. MAN2STG  : Texts to the remaining CAT-folders supplemented.

  217. General  : STG_CONV.LZH renamed to STG-UTIL.LZH.
  218.            New tool CALL-ACC included.
  219.            QAA now as hypertext.
  220.            QAA extended.
