  3. UK Supported Shareware by Joe Connor
  4. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. About the scheme
  6. ----------------
  7. The Supported Shareware scheme was set up by Joe Connor to encourage 
  8. foreign (all German so far!) authors to produce and support English 
  9. language versions of their software AND to encourage UK users to register 
  10. their software.
  11.  
  12. Benefits for registered users:
  13. - Key to access registered user only features or remove the Shareware 
  14.   Intro screen (some software only)
  15. - Access to the free update service
  16. - Labelled Master disk
  17. - ST-Guide illustrated on-line catalogue of supported software
  18. - ST-Guide on-line help (some software only)
  19. - Selection of other software (dependent on disk space)
  20.  
  21. The Shareware fees are set to cover the currency handling, stationary, 
  22. media and postage costs incurred in mailing out master disks. Support for 
  23. users in other countries is available, details on request, please feel free 
  24. to ask or get involved with translation or support in other countries if 
  25. you are able.

  46. How to register inside the UK
  47. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48. 1)  Check the amount for the software you wish to register
  49. 2)  Make a cheque payable to Joe Connor for the required amount
  50. 3)  Be sure to include your name and address in a legible format!
  51. 4)  Send cheque to UK Address below

  57. How to register outside the UK
  58. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59. Different arrangements exist depending on the software concerned. There may 
  60. be an alternative local registration point or other conditions so please 
  61. refer to the specific documentation for details.

  63. Update service
  64. --------------
  65. The latest versions are listed every month in the Shareware column of ST 
  66. Applications each month. To receive an update:
  67.  
  68. - Send a self addressed envelope including return postage and a double 
  69.   sided floppy disk. Please state clearly:
  70.  
  71. 1) The software you'd like updated
  72. 2) The version you're currently using
  73. 3) 'Keep' if you would prefer me to retain your disk until a later version 
  74.    becomes available.
  75.    
  76. Alternatively if you have Internet access you can use 'anonymous ftp' to 
  77. obtain the latest English language release version of all the above 
  78. software from:

  82. Other sites may carry the on-line archive but minor updates to the English 
  83. language version are sometimes made without changing the version number.
