  9. AEMail is a mail client designed to read, process, compose and send e-mail 
  10. from an Amiga computer over the Internet.  It provides an easy to use
  11. graphical interface designed specifically for the Amiga.  It connects to an 
  12. Internet server through AmiTCP or any TCP/IP stack compatable with AmiTCP.
  13. This includes TermiteTCP and Miami.  It uses the AmigaDOS editor, ed, or any
  14. other editor of the user's choosing for developing email messages.  No other
  15. external programs or modules are required. The POP3 and SMTP protocols are
  16. built into the program.

  18. The current version of AEMAIL supports MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail
  19. Extension) attachments following the MIME outline as well as UUENCODED
  20. attached files.  Not all of the features of MIME headers are fully
  21. supported and exceptions will be noted in the documentation.

  23. AEMail can also be used as a "MailTo" agent in WWW browsers, such as Voyager,
  24. IBrowse, and AWeb, which allow the user to specify an external program for
  25. composing and sending email.

  27. AEMail features an unlimited number of folders for storing messages, a
  28. powerful filtering system for directing messages received to various
  29. folders, an extensive address book allowing both individual and group
  30. addresses, printer support, multiple configurations and multiple signature
  31. files supported, and full clipboard support.

  33. AEMail does not require MUI.

  35. AEMail is shareware with certain features only available to registered
  36. users.  The shareware fee is US $30.

  38. AEMail Version 1.51 is a minor upgrade that corrects some last minute bugs
  39. found after Version 1.50 was released.  It also adds an additional ARexx
  40. script "Addtogrp.aem" to the ARexx directory.

  42. The major enhancement in Version 1.50, the prior version of AEMail (not on
  43. Aminet) was the addition of ARexx support.  AEMail now has a very powerful
  44. set of ARexx commands that can be used to control AEMail from external
  45. ARexx scripts.  You can also execute ARexx scripts and AmigaDOS scripts
  46. from within AEMail.
