  1.  
  2. Backdrop Picker is a small (Freeware) utility that will randomly select a backdrop from a choice of upto 10 IFF
  3. images.
  4.  
  5. Installation
  6.  
  7. To install Backdrop Picker V1.0:
  8.  
  9. 1) Move the executable PickBD to your C: directory.
  10.  
  11. 2) You will need a selection of images that you wish to use as backdrops.  These images should be
  12.    named with a single number, from 1 to 10. (I.E 1,2,3,4 etc).  Place these in the directory
  13.    "SYS:Prefs/Patterns/" If the directory "/Patterns/" does not exist, then please create it.

  15. 3) Edit your User-Startup script, adding the line "PickBD".
  16.  
  17. 4) Reboot your Amiga.
  18.  
  19. 5) When Workbench has loaded, open the WBPattern preferences program, and set the preferences so that
  20.    the Workbench screen is using a Picture.  Set the backdrop picture as "SYS:Prefs/Patterns/BD".

  22. 6) That's it. :)  Now, every time you load Workbench, Backdrop Picker V1.0 will choose one of your
  23.    backdrop pictures.
