ArchiTech 3D Model Viewer

ArchiTech viewer is available only for Acorn RiscOS computers.
ArchiTech Viewer is a system for looking at models which have previously
been made in ArchiTech, by users of ArchiTech.
Purpose:
Use ATecViewer to take a look at ArchiTech Models from any angle you
choose - with Animation ON to get the full effect from animated models.
To start ArchiTech Viewer: Ensure that your Acorn Computer is set to a 256
colour mode. Double click on the !AtecView icon then click on the icon which
appears on the icon bar.
HOW TO USE ARCHITECH VIEWER:
Icons:
There are five icons to the left of the viewer;
1) FullScreen icon (TV screen and Red Arrow)
Click SELECT on this icon to view the model in full screen. This is faster
than viewing in the WIMP and also enables a number of other functions. See
'Full Screen' below.
CLICK MENU ON THE FULL SCREEN ICON TO SELECT A CONVENIENT SCREEN MODE
2) Rotate (Hand)
Click on this icon and move the pointer into the viewer.
Clicking SELECT will tumble the model left/right/up and down
Clicking ADJUST will also tilt-rotate the model
3) Zoom (Double-arrow)
Click on this icon and move the pointer into the viewer.
Clicking SELECT and moving the arrow up and down will zoom the model
towards and away in the viewer.
4) Animation (Running man)
If the animation icon is active (ie; the icon is not greyed out), the
model will animate in some way when the icon is clicked.
5) Walkpath (Walking man)
If the Walkpath icon is active (ie. the icon is not greyed out) the
model contain a walkpath which is activated by clicking the
Walkpath icon.Whilst the walkpath is operational only the Rotate
(hand) icon can be used and only in the up/down movement.
BACKGROUND SPRITES
A Sprite may be dropped onto the view window to form a background for the
model. IE, a space scene could form the backdrop for a model spaceship.
Full Screen:
The full screen view provides a 'faster' environment for the model and
also the following options:
Fly mode
~~~~~~~~
Press the SPACE key and the computer will beep indicating that you're in
fly mode.
Click and hold-down the SELECT button to fly forwards
Click and hold-down the ADJUST button to fly backwards
Move the mouse to view around the scene
Press SPACE to resume the normal rotation mode
Click-operate animated model
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Press the SHIFT key to enable this mode and a hand will appear.
Click on the model part that you know (or suspect) will animate.
Some models will animate constantly (eg: like the rotor on a helicopter)
Whilst other models will animate once (eg: clicking on a cupboard door
will open it)
Note: not all models will animate unless animation has been applied to
them during their creation.
The SPEED of animation can be adjusted when in the full screen mode
by pressing the ',' key to decrease or the '.' to increase the speed.
Press SHIFT again to resume.
Animation
~~~~~~~~~
This is turned ON/OFF using the Desktop animate icon if the model can
animate.
Walkpath
~~~~~~~~
Press the CTRL key to start or stop the walkpath if the model has one.
Exiting back to the Desktop
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This can be done by;
a) Pressing the middle mouse button
b) Pressing the ESCAPE or RETURN key
