  2. BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL THESE DATATYPES MAKE A BACKUP
  3. OF YOUR OLD ONES
  4.  
  5. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

  7. 1) make a backup of your old gif.datatype, picture.datatype and GIF
  8.   Did I mention that already?  IT IS IMPORTANT
  9. 2) copy picture.datatype to sys:classes/datatypes/
  10. 3) copy gif.datatype to sys:classes/datatypes/
  11. 4) copy GIF to devs:datatypes/
  12. 5) Select hires-laced screenmode, 64 colours
  13. 6) change the tooltype for name to what you want to be called
  14. 7) change the tooltype for server to the server you want to connect to
  15. 8) reboot to make sure the changes have been acknowledged
  16. 9) start civclient
  17. 10) shout "HURRAH" 'cause it worked first time
