Short: Light cycles game - runs on a pubscreen.
Author: Richard West & Daniel Pimley (Micro Design)
Uploader: md@dream.u-net.com (Richard West)
Version: 1.3r
Type: game/2play
Requires: kick 37+
Replaces: game/2play/Light.lha
A light cycles game with a few nice features that runs on a pubscreen,
programmed in AmigaE. It's not too bad, even if we do say so ourselves.
Old Features from Version 1r:
Up to 4 players with CPU fill-ins
reasonably clever CPU players
Prefs that save to a file in the program dir
Control over screen wrap, acceleration, in-game obstacles
Player control (any player can use any control method)
Colours and names of players can be set.
Hotkeys for all options (for when a joystick is in mouse port)
System friendly
Old Features from Version 1.1r:
CPU Turning Slider in Game Prefs
New in-game sound effects added
Minor palette changes
Different default colours for lines
Small glitches in code smoothed out
Bug fixes - nothing important
Old for Version 1.2r
Finally using the audio device to allocate channels making the audio
bug, which some people experienced, non-existent.
New for Version 1.3r
Linked the data file to the executable so that LightSpeed now only
needs the one file to run.
More small bug fixes including menus which conflicted with MagicMenu
and failed to display properly on Kick 37 machines. Changed the
about requesters slightly with updated information. Fixed a crash
which would occur on below Kick 37 machines if they run the program
against all my advice, it now just returns an error. Changed the
distribution file name to LightSpeed as it kept being refered to
simply as light.
Many other fixes have been done, which I can no longer remember, this
will be the final revision of version 1, as I am sure all bugs are fixed.
As of yet no decission has been made on a version 2 which would include
many more new and unique features.
