  6.  This is beta code. It may even not compile on your system.
  7.  So far it was only tested on my computer, where it works fine.
  8.  
  9.   Ok, what is KNewMail you ask. Well, it is a small
  10. utility that will check your email at preset intervals. It will then notify
  11. you of new mail (hence the nifty name!) using one/none/all of the following
  12. methods:
  13.  o Popup window displaying the number of messages waiting
  14.  o Playing a wav file
  15.  o Popup window (the main window) which shows you headers of the messages
  16.    waiting
  17.  o Auto Launch your favorite email program (or something like klogin so you
  18.    can telnet!)
  19.  
  20.   I originally designed the program to support multiple pop3
  21. servers because I got annoyed by having to telnet to them all, and waiting
  22. for the server to respond. KnewMail also has some other features, I've
  23. listed them here, but just remember they will be constantly added to and
  24. this list might not get updated! Check the docks for the latest list.
  25.  o Customizable sound to play when mail arrives (or turn it off!)
  26.  o Supports unlimited number of mailboxes (theoretically!)
  27.  o Customizable time between mail checks
  28.  o Customizable email program launch
  29.  o Will only play sound when NEW messages arrive, not every time it detects
  30.    waiting mail
