KNewMail 2.0
==============
This is beta code. It may even not compile on your system.
So far it was only tested on my computer, where it works fine.
Ok, what is KNewMail you ask. Well, it is a small
utility that will check your email at preset intervals. It will then notify
you of new mail (hence the nifty name!) using one/none/all of the following
methods:
o Popup window displaying the number of messages waiting
o Playing a wav file
o Popup window (the main window) which shows you headers of the messages
waiting
o Auto Launch your favorite email program (or something like klogin so you
can telnet!)
I originally designed the program to support multiple pop3
servers because I got annoyed by having to telnet to them all, and waiting
for the server to respond. KnewMail also has some other features, I've
listed them here, but just remember they will be constantly added to and
this list might not get updated! Check the docks for the latest list.
o Customizable sound to play when mail arrives (or turn it off!)
o Supports unlimited number of mailboxes (theoretically!)
o Customizable time between mail checks
o Customizable email program launch
o Will only play sound when NEW messages arrive, not every time it detects
waiting mail
