copy of PageMaker, and uses "C:\PM5" as the default initial PageMaker
document directory.
To change these values:
- Select "Configure" from the "PageMaker" menu. You will be prompted for
new values which PMInfo will remember the next time you run it.
- Exit from PMInfo. When prompted to "Save current changes to: PMINFO.TBK?
click on "Yes".
3. To get the page setup and style information from a PageMaker 5.0 document:
- Select "Retrieve Stye Info" from the "PageMaker" menu.
- A File Open dialog box is displayed, listing the *.PM5 documents in the
default PageMaker document directory. Select a file.
- PMInfo runs PageMaker 5.0 with the document, and extracts the
information. Progress messages appear at the bottom of the screen.
Page setup information appears on the first page, followed by a separate
page for each style definition.
- When all the information is extracted, you can use the "Page" menu to
naviagate through the pages. Each page has one large scrolling text
field. Use the scroll bar on the right to see more of the text.
- To print the style information, select "Print Style Info" from the
"PageMaker" menu. You are prompted to print the current style or all
styles. Choosing "current" prints the style you are looking at; printing
all styles prints all styles and the page setup information. A report
will be sent to your default Windows printer.
- Select "File|Exit" to exit PMInfo.
