A somewhat unknown feature of QuarkXPress (added in 3.2) is the ability to interrupt screen redraw. To accomplish this simply press command-period while the screen is updating.
Now that screen redrawing has been interrupted how do you start it again? Well the answer has been force QuarkXPress to do something to draw the page again. But now with the RefreshIt XTension loaded you can simply press option-command-period and the current document will be redrawn.
