To create a new test, select “New” from the file menu. Then give a name to the new test. The file will be created on your disk, the Question window will appear, and a new question will be added to the test. The test will be in Edit mode.
Opening a Test
To open a test, select “Open...” from the file menu and then select the test to open. You will then be asked to choose what you want to open the test for: Edit, Browse, or Practice. (If the test is locked, you will not be able to select Edit. If the test is locked for Practice only, it will automatically be opened for practice.)
Different menus are available in different modes.
In Edit mode, the Test, Question, Answer, and Text menus are available when you are working in the Question window. The Test, Solution, and Text menus are available when you are working in the Solution window. The Test, Instructions, and Text menus are available when you are working in either Instructions window. Refer to the sub-sections on windows and menus for more information.
In Browse mode, only the Browse menu is available. This simply allows you to read the instructions and search for questions.
In Practice mode, only the Practice menu is available. This allows you to read the instructions, search for questions, check your answers, and search for incorrect answers. Refer to the section on practicing tests for more information.
