  35. Stellar Empires for Windows is a fast paced strategic game of galactic 
  36. conquest.  A player begins an empire with a single star.  Stars are added 
  37. to an empire through colonization of uncolonized stars and annexation of 
  38. stars held by other empires.  The game is complete when there is only one 
  39. empire left.  The game is designed such that the more you play, the more 
  40. features you learn, and the more challenging the game becomes.

  43.     o    Randomly generated star map allows virtually an endless supply 
  44.         of different scenarios.
  45.     o    Number of stars in a game may vary from 50 to 1500 for short, 
  46.         medium or long games.
  47.     o    Number of players may vary from 2 to 12 with any combination of 
  48.         computer or human players.
  49.     o    Totally mouse controllable, play a game and never touch the keyboard.
  50.     o    Options to vary the difficulty and complexity of the game.
  51.     o    Replay a game, as the same player or as another player.

  55. DISTRIBUTION LICENSE

  57. As the exclusive copyright holder for Stellar Empires, Tahuya Bay Software 
  58. authorizes distribution only in accordance with the following restrictions.

  60. The Stellar Empires package is defined as containing all the material listed 
  61. in the PACKING.LST text file.  If any files listed in the PACKING.LST text 
  62. file, or the PACKING.LST file itself, are missing, then the package is not 
  63. complete and distribution is forbidden.  Please contact Tahuya Bay Software 
  64. to obtain a complete package suitable for distribution.

  66.     o    Do not distribute outside of the USA and Canada any part of the 
  67.         Stellar Empires package, without written permission from Tahuya 
  68.         Bay Software.

  70.     o    Your rights do not include any rights to sublicense the Stellar 
  71.         Empires package or otherwise allow any copying or distribution 
  72.         by any third party without the written permission from Tahuya 
  73.         Bay Software.

  75.     o    Stellar Empires must be identified as SHAREWARE.  You must clearly 
  76.         mark your diskette and the front and back of any packaging with the 
  77.         word "shareware" and explain the concept of shareware, using words 
  78.         such as "try-before-you-buy software" and you make these things 
  79.         undisputably clear.

  81.     o    The Stellar Empires package including all related program files 
  82.         and documentation files CANNOT be modified in any way (other than 
  83.         that mentioned in the following paragraph) and must be distributed 
  84.         as a complete package, without exception.

  86.     o    Distributors may add a small text file to the archived file, if 
  87.         this text file describes the Distributor.  Also a small one-line 
  88.         message with the Distributors name and phone number may be added 
  89.         into the compressed file, which will display when the file is 
  90.         uncompressed, provided the Stellar Empires package is otherwise 
  91.         unmodified and complete.

  93.     o    Disk Vendors, Shareware Distributors and BBS(s) may charge a 
  94.         nominal fee not to exceed $9 US for distribution of the program. 
  95.         The recipient of Stellar Empires must be informed, in advance, 
  96.         that the fee paid to acquire Stellar Empires does not relieve 
  97.         the recipient from paying the Registration Fee for Stellar Empires.

  99.     o    You may not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, 
  100.         disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the Stellar 
  101.         Empires package except as provided in this agreement.

  103.     o    Tahuya Bay Software reserves the right to revoke, modify or 
  104.         terminate this license at any time. Upon notification of 
  105.         termination of this license, you are entitled to distribute 
  106.         the product until the EARLIER of: 30 days after notice of 
  107.         termination, or the completion of distribution of the copies 
  108.         you have in stock.
