Lords of the Realm
1. The size of a population can be increased by lowering the tax rate
or increasing the rations.
2. It is more valuable to have a good harvest than to mine iron.
3. Set the tax rate to 15% at the beginning of the game to keep the
population contented.
4. Never let a county's population grow faster than the food
production.
5. Try purchasing more wood and using the extra workers for stone
cutting.
6. Build plenty of castles and keep a very close eye on your
population.
7. The best army to have is a mercenary one, because it is superior
than any other and cheaper than raising your own troops.
8. When fighting large enemy armies, recruit knights.
9. The best method of "attacking" castles is to blockade them and
letting the enemy starve.
10. Do not try to occupy a province unless you already have at least
500 gold in your treasury.
