  4. Notes about the latest version of CardShark Hearts:

  6. New WAV Player:
  7.  
  8. A small, but significant percentage of users get erratic problems with sounds
  9. turned on. Because CSH used a simple call to Windows to play WAV files,
  10. nothing could be done about the problem in terms of modifying code. Instead,
  11. a new WAV file playing module, MIC.VBX, has been added. We hope this will
  12. resolve those problems.

  15. Network Play Option Added:

  17. Under "PlayOptions" has been added an option for playing with other people on
  18. a network. Check the help file online for instructions.

  22. Changes in Recent Prior Versions:

  24. Current versions of CardShark Hearts are being compiled with version 3 of
  25. Visual Basic and requires VBRUN300.DLL. If you do not have VBRUN300.DLL, check
  26. with the place from which you got CSHEARTS, or use the order form that is in
  27. this archive to get it.

  30. Program Documenation On-Line:

  32. The documentation has been changed from a DOC file to a standard Windows Help
  33. format. After starting CSHearts, please press F1 to bring up the Help system
  34. and read the complete contents of the documentation.

  36. If you are not able to get the CSHearts to run, then bring up the Help program
  37. from Program Manager by pressing F1 and use File-Open in the Help program to
  38. load CSHEARTS.HLP. Once it is loaded, read the section about installation.

  43. "Comments" - select which types of player comments to allow.
  44. "Faces" - hide the computer players' faces.
  45. "First Trick Rules" - choose whether to allow the following on trick one:
  46.   - lead a suit other than clubs
  47.   - play Hearts
  48.   - play Queen of Spades

  50. A speech balloon is no longer shown if it duplicates what is being said when
  51. a WAV file is being played.

  53. A banner has been added to announce the winner at the end of each game.

  55. Several new WAV files have been added. They take about 290k archived. You can

  57. 77005. You can also get the latest CS-Hearts, along with ALL of the sound
  58. files and thousands of other shareware programs, on the latest PsL Monthly CD.
