!Help for Findwords Application © P J Systems
Version 1.00 24.10.91
The idea of this game is to find all of the words in the
grid.
It is based upon the many puzzlebooks that are available.
Each word can be either horizontal, vertical, diagonal and
or reversed!!!
All of the words are listed on the right hand side of the
screen, in alphabetical order. There is only enough room to
display 20 words so to see the remainder of your list
press the "Page Up" button to move the page up! and the
"Page Down" button to move the page down!
Novel idea eh!
Once you have seen a word in the grid that is in your list
move the pointer to the word in the list and press Select.
Now move the pointer to the start of the word on the grid
and press one of the following:
7 Left Up Diag 8 Up 9 Right Up Diag
4 Left 6 Right
1 Left Down Diag 2 Down 3 Right Down Diag
If the move is legal then the word becomes highlighted on
both the grid and in the list.
The game continues until all words are found in the list.
Pressing the middle (Menu) button produces a sort of
risc-os menu. The menu is stuck in this position.
The load option allows a game file to be loaded. Game
files are included in the package.
The save option allows you to save newly defined games.
The game designer option has two options:
Alter grid layout option allows you to change individual
letters in the grid. Pressing RETURN returns you back to
the game.
Alter words option allows you to enter new words in the
list. You then have to place the word in the grid using
the numerical keys as described earlier.
Load game option allows you to load an incomplete game.
Save game option allows you to save the game and return to
it later.
Note: Only the latest game is kept on the disc.
Exit to Basic option. Obvious enough???
Exit to Desktop option. Even more obvious???
This program isn't multi-tasking as I haven't yet got the
hang of template files!!! (Anyone out there got any
suggestions???)
