Journal
The Draw files are to be dropped into a DTP program such as Impression. They
are intended to be A5 size and will provide many of the pages required for
students to enter their homework each week.
HomeworkTT. This page would go at the front of the book for students to
record their homework timetable.
MainPages. The left page of the pair of facing pages gives students the
opportunity to enter each week's work together with the date it's due in.
The right page includes a space to record their attendance and punctuality,
short-term targets and parental comments. In the centre ia a space for them
to record their weekly IT achievements. Whilst these pages could be used as
they are, it is envisaged that the school would modify them to make them
more suitable for their own particular students. I would welcome any
communication about a school using these pages in any form whatsoever.
Merits. This is a highly contentious issue. We offer students small merit
stickers for producing excellent work, helping staff or other students, etc.
We then chose to use the Journal to store the stickers offering a statement
of Achivement for each six stickers collected, a special pen for twenty-four
stickers and a mug for 48 stickers. The pair of facing pages and the
accomanying link arrow will store up to 40 stickers.
Superfast Labels Ltd, Unit 15 Church Road Business Centre, Sittingbourne,
Kent, ME10 3RS will print your merit design onto round stickers for around
£100.00 per 10,000.
Westfield Advertising Specialist Ltd, Westfield House, Helena Street,
Birmingham, B1 2RJ will print your school's name onto pens. The work out at
about 35p each (depending on how many you buy).
Westfield Advertising Specialist Ltd will also put a design and school name
onto a mug for abour £2.20 each. Again, the cost will depend on how many you
buy.
