  1.     The Creation Of Company Policy
  2.     ------------------------------

  4.     In the beginning was THE PLAN
  5.     And then came the assumptions
  6.     And the assumptions were without form
  7.     And THE PLAN was completely without substance
  8.     And a darkness was upon the face of the workers
  9.     And they spake unto their foremen, saying:
  10.     "It's a crock of *#?! and it stinks."
  11.  
  12.     And the foremen went unto the managers and sayeth:
  13.     "It is a pail of dung and none may abide by the odour
  14.     thereof"
  15.  
  16.     And the managers went unto their heads of group and
  17.     sayeth unto them:
  18.     "It is a container of excrement and it is very strong
  19.     such that none mey abide by it"
  20.  
  21.     And the group heads went unto their head of division,
  22.     and sayeth unto him:
  23.     "It is a vessel of fertilizer and none may abide by its
  24.     strength"
  25.  
  26.     And the Division Head went unto the Board Member and
  27.     sayeth:
  28.     "It contains that which aids plant growth and is very
  29.     strong"
  30.  
  31.     And the Board Member went unto the deputy Chairman and
  32.     sayeth unto him:
  33.     "It promoteth growth and is very powerful"
  34.  
  35.     And the Deputy Chairman went unto the Chairman and
  36.     sayeth unto him:
  37.     "This powerful new plan will actively promote the growth
  38.     and efficiency of the Company"
  39.  
  40.     And the Chairman looked upon THE PLAN and saw that it was good.
  41.  
  42.                And thus THE PLAN became policy.
