GFD0009
This is the Gravis File Decription "GFD" for GUS0009.ZIP
If you give the accompaning files to anyone, this file must be included.
About the GUS0009.ZIP user files...
First make a backup copy of your older version of your SBOS software in
the [d:]\ULTRASND\SBOS directory: either copy it to a floppy disk or
another subdirectory.
Then delete the files in your [d:]\ULTRASND\SBOS directory.
Copy the new files for the SBOS program to your [d:]\ULTRASND\SBOS
directory.
This new BETA SBOS V1.2B maintenance update is intended to offer increased
functionality with software useing more esoteric sound programming
techniques. For example, this SBOS version now allows UNREAL DEMO by
Future Crew to run emulating SoundBlaster sound.
Please try V1.2B out on your games and applications and let us know how it
works for you. We need feedback on software you have had encountered problems
with, as well as confirmation that this revision still works as well as with
the previous SBOS, V1.20.
NOTE:
The new sbosdrv.sys driver is loaded from the config.sys file
and uses the untrasnd string as its parameter.
device=sbosdrv.sys ultrasnd=220,7,7,11,7
where 220 is the base port.
7 is the P.C.M. interrupt.
11 is the GF1 interrupt.
The user should remember to type SBOS at the DOS prompt to re-load the
driver for any audio to be heard.
