  26.    Installation Instructions:

  28.    1. Start Windows v3.1.
  29.  
  30.    2. Open the Control Panel and select the Drivers icon.
  31.  
  32.    3. If you currently have SoundBlaster drivers installed, please remove
  33.       all of them with the REMOVE button and restart Windows before
  34.       continuing.  Make sure you restart Windows after removing drivers.
  35.    
  36.    4. Click on the ADD button.
  37.  
  38.    5. Select Unlisted or Updated driver and click on OK.
  39.  
  40.    6. Insert the floppy containing the drivers.
  41.  
  42.    7. Type in the drive letter of the floppy drive containing the driver disk.
  43.  
  44.    8. Select Sound Blaster Pro Auxiliary Audio and click on OK.
  45.  
  46.    9. Windows will prompt you for the SoundBlaster I/O address.  The default
  47.       I/O address is 220H.  If you have changed the jumper on your card to
  48.       240H, then select 240H.
  49.  
  50.   10. Windows will ask if you want to restart your system.  Click on
  51.       DON'T RESTART, then repeat steps 4, 5, 6, and 7.
  52.  
  53.   WARNING! - Steps 11 and 12 will OVERWRITE your existing MIDIMAP.CFG
  54.              configuration.  If you want to keep your existing configuration,
  55.              click on CANCEL and make a copy of MIDIMAP.CFG before continuing
  56.              the installation process.
  57.  
  58.   11. Select Sound Blaster Pro MIDI Synthesizer and click on OK.
  59.  
  60.   12. Windows will ask if you want to use the current MIDIMAP.CFG
  61.       or install the new MIDIMAP.CFG - Select NEW and continue on.
  62.  
  63.   13. Windows will prompt you for the SoundBlaster I/O address.
  64.       Repeat the instructions in step 9.
  65.  
  66.   14. Windows will ask if you want to restart your system.  Click on
  67.       DO NOT RESTART, then repeat steps 4, 5, 6, and 7.
  68.  
  69.   15. Select Sound Blaster Pro Wave and MIDI and click on OK.
  70.  
  71.   16. Windows will prompt you for the SoundBlaster I/O address, Interrupt, and
  72.       DMA channel. Choose the settings your card is set to and continue on.
  73.  
  74.   17. Windows will ask if you want to restart your system.  Click on
  75.       RESTART NOW.  Windows will then restart.
  76.  
  77.   18. If you run into problems, check your SYSTEM.INI by choosing RUN from
  78.       the File menu of the Program Manager, and typing SYSEDIT in the
  79.       commandline box.  Check your [Drivers] and [sndblst.drv] sections.
  80.       They should look something like this:

  95.    Two additional Windows applications are provided.  They are MMJBOX.EXE and
  96.    MMCBOX.EXE, please copy them into your Windows directory.

  102.    1. We are including drivers that make use of Device Virtualization.  These
  103.       drivers will allow DOS Apps that use the SoundBlaster to run in Enhanced
  104.       Mode.
  105.  
  106.       Please make sure that the line reading "device=vsbpd.386" under the
  107.       [386Enh] section in your SYSTEM.INI is correct.  If it reads
  108.       "device=vsbd.386", simply change it to read "device=vsbpd.386".  Make
  109.       sure the file is in your Windows SYSTEM directory. If it is not, copy it
  110.       from the Drivers Disk.
  111.  
  112.    2. A MIDI-MAP has been created to make use of SBFM.DRV, please use the MIDI
  113.       MAPPER icon under Control Panel to customize it to your requirements.
  114.  
  115.       Under Windows v3.1, MIDI channel 10 is referenced as the drum channel.
  116.       If you are having problems with the FM synth not sounding "right", try
  117.       modifying the configuration with the MIDI Mapper.
  118.
