  5. Description:    sox is a program for converting sound files between several
  6.         formats such as .au, .snd, .voc and .wav.
  7.         This is a patched version of the lastest version of sox.
  8.         Of most interest to Linux users is the included patch
  9.         to fix the "Invalid Buffer Size" when playing sounds
  10.         to USS (or Voxware or TASD).  There is also improved
  11.         support for play and recording sounds in any format
  12.         under both Linux and Suns (use the included play and
  13.         rec scripts).  Sox will also now correctly play
  14.         and record 8-bit stereo .voc files.  New features
  15.         since the 11gamma-cb2 is more bug fixes and corrected
  16.         my email address.
