HiSoft BASIC version 1.05
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Welcome to HiSoft BASIC!
This is the complete HiSoft BASIC compiler system that allows
you to create, edit and compile modern, super-fast BASIC
programs. Owing to lack of space, we have omitted an
extended 1Mb version of the BASIC system which has added
features in the editor and allows the creation of truly
stand-alone programs. You can obtain this full version
plus the complete 360-page, ring-bound manual directly from
HiSoft - just use the coupon in your Amiga Computing.
We have included a number of example programs in the Demos
drawer to get you started. Note that the HiSoft BASIC editor
will use the ARP file requester if arp.library is installed in
the libs directory; you can obtain this library by purchasing
the manual and complete disk set - see your Amiga Computing
for details. The GetFile.bas example shows how to use
this library from BASIC.
The bmap files in the libs directory are required when
compiling programs that use the operating system libraries.
Compiled programs also require the hisoftbasic.library file to
be in libs although the full version includes a compiler that
does not have this restriction. The mathieeedoubbas.library
and mathieeedoubtrans.library are also required.
