04/15/94 v3.7d 1) Made transition from voice to command mode for
the Zoom modem more reliable. This should fix
the problem with failing to recycle after calls.
2) Revised method of playing numbers. The NUMS.BIN
file has been replaced with NUMS0.BIN and
NUMS10.BIN. These are REQUIRED files for proper
operation. The OVER59.BIN has been replaced
with OVER99.BIN.
3) Fixed problem overrunning ZOOM modem's voice
buffer when playing long ( > 10 secs) messages.
03/12/94 v3.7c 1) Tested and revised support for the Zoom modems
on an actual Zoom modem. Pre-recorded voice
files are now available for the Zoom.
02/19/94 v3.7b 1) The ZyXEL modem will enter an indeterminate
mode the first time that at AT+FCLASS=8 is
sent to the modem after going off hook with
ATH1. The modem must be placed back on hook
by lowering DTR. The workaround implemented
is to send ATH0#B1+FCLASS=6 after a ring but
before ATH1. Then send AT#B1+FCLASS=8. This
has solved the problem at least for my site.
2) If you get the "Sorry, your evaluation period
has expired" message, then you may not have
followed the instructions in the README! file.
Please install ANSWER.EXE in a newly created
directory. Also, ANSWER.EXE shareware version
will not run from a root directory.
02/09/94 v3.7a 1) Added support for the Zoom modem. The support
is actually still in beta testing since I do
not have a Zoom modem on hand. However, the
commands have been implemented and "should"
work. I do not have pre-recorded voice files
for this modem, nor do I know whether or not
the compression standard is compatible with
the ZyXEL's or the SoundBlaster's ADPCM format.
2) Updated address information for new location.
3) Added support for "Line Select" during play
and recording operations. The default command
strings have changed. To allow the new line
selections to work, you should delete your
OPTIONS.DAT file and reenter your options.
Cygnus Data Systems is moving to Seattle, WA and will have a new address
as of 11/01/93. The new address is unknown at this time, but will be
announced in the next release of Answer.
10/11/93 v3.6i Added voc<=>zyx conversion routine.
07/17/93 v3.6h Repaired error in initialization codes for
record and play being swapped. This resulted
in both record and play operations being
as soon as they started.
07/08/93 v3.6g Fixed result code identification failure in
the ZyXEL initialization routine. If you've
tried previous versions, you may need to delete
your OPTIONS.DAT file prior to running this
version.
07/08/93 v3.6f Fixed critical failure to set the comm port
baud rate upon first time initialization.
