This file is a list of the various cheat codes which are known to function
with DOOM version 1.2. Note that this is only a partial list, and for more
conprehensive information you should consult the DOOM FAQ which includes all
the information stated here plus more.
The following is a list of keys which can be entered while playing DOOM
(shareware or registered). They don't work in Nightmare mode.
IDDQD God mode (toggle)
IDKFA Ammunition, weapons, armor, keys
IDSPISPOPD Walk through walls
IDBEHOLD Menu to get power-ups:
V: inVulnerability
S: berSerk
I: Invisibility
L: Light visor
R: Radiation suit
A: mAp
IDCLEV## Warp. First number sign is episode, second is level.
IDMYPOS Your coordinates
IDCHOPPERS Chainsaw. On only, NOT a toggle.
IDDT (must be entered while in map). Toggles between normal, full,
and full with items.
The following items can be entered on the DOOM command line:
-skill # Skill level, number is 1 to 5
-config <file> Alternate configuration file
-playdemo <file> Plays a recorded demo (.LMP extention assumed)
-nomonsters No monsters
-respawn Monsters come back to life. Skill 4 with
respawn turned on is the same as Nightmare,
but the cheats work.
The following parameters require you to enter -devparm as the first argument
before they will work:
-wart <episode> <level> Warps to episode (1-3) level (1-9)
-warp <episode> <level> Same
-record <name> Records a demo. You must finish the level,
die, or press Q to save the demo. You can't
exit from the menu.
-recordfrom # <name> Records a demo <name> starting at the location
stored in a savegame #
Also, pressing F1 in this mode will take a screenshot.
