Title : TRAPPED!
Filename : RJPDEATH.WAD
Author : Richard Platt
Email Address : richard@rjplatt.demon.co.uk
Description : A deathmatch only level. It is relatively
small, but that makes it better for
deathmatch play. It's full of traps to
set for your opponent (hence the title),
but I'll leave you to find them all.
(after all, it's no fun to play if you
know that you that you are going to beat
your opponent every time, is it)
I recommend that you use ALTDEATH, as
otherwise the level quickly runs out of
ammo, and don't use turbo as it messes
up the stepping stones section.

If you change this WAD, please give credit to the author and
state that it's been modified. And send a copy to me will you?
I'm just, you know, interested.
Other than that, you can do what you like with it, EXCEPT
charge for it (in any way) or copyright any modified levels.
GOT IT!!! Good.
Distribution:
Please distribute like hell, but only the ZIP file, TRAPPED!.ZIP
(or a UUENCODED version of the ZIP). Please don't distribute
modified levels under the name TRAPPED!. (but say that they were
modified from TRAPPED!, of course)
Other:
Please e-mail any improvements, modifications or suggestions for
improvement to me. (I can't believe I just said that. Improve?
This level? I don't think so. But send suggestions anyway. :-)
MISCELLANEOUS:
* What's the difference between the skill levels? *
I'm too young to die: Frag-a-second BFG mania!.
Hey, not too rough: 90% BFG, 10% Rocket launcher.
Hurt me plenty: Rocket + BFG blasting (Rockets mainly).
Ultra Violence: Shotguns rule. Rockets come second.
Nightmare: Rockets and plasma with a bit of BFG.
In my opinion, the best setting is Ultra Violence, but who's ever
cared about my opinion...
* So what are those traps then? *
I won't tell you where they are, but I will tell you what they are:
- A room where you can crush your opponent by activating a crushing
ceiling.
- A set of switches which can be used to seal your opponent in a
particular area (while you collect the weapons). Note: If you
use these, then die (perhaps by falling into an acid pit), you
could well reappear in the sealed off area with your opponent,
and not be able to get out! The only thing to do is continue
playing in that area until one of you gets killed, then hope
that you (or your opponent) reappears outside the sealed area.
- A switch which lowers a platform into a radiation pit.
- An area where you can shoot at the other player as he crosses
the stepping stones. (That one shouldn't be too hard to find)
- Shadows to hide in.
- PLENTY of hiding places. One of them is opened when a player
walks down a corridor. (so you can shoot him from behind)
- That's about all I can think of. Remember, NO AREA IS SAFE.
Note:DO NOT USE GAMMA CORRECTION (AT ANY LEVEL). It is CHEATING!
I know the level's dark, but it's meant to be. If you want to
light it up, get the light-amp goggles or try firing the chaingun.
However, light reflecting off the monitor can make it very hard
to see. I recommend that you play it in a dark room. Try shutting
the curtains and turning the light off.
