Description : A collection of 7 Deathmatch PWADS for
DOOM ][. All of these levels are intended
to be played WITHOUT the -nomonsters parm.
If you like playing with monsters, you may
find these monsters well-placed for death-
match play. If you don't like monsters in
deathmatch, give it a try for these levels,
and you might find yourself thanking that
cyberdemon for wasting your opponent just
before he could get the BFG...
Two of the levels are brand new levels never
before distributed, and the remainder are old
DOOM levels recycled for use with DOOM ][. All
levels and textures were created by myself,
and I hope the hell this is the last thing I
ever make for DOOM, DOOM ][, or Heretic.
We'll see about Strife...
FORMULA.WAD is a lame attempt at making DOOM
look like a racing event. I wanted to put in
more road markings, but I had some visplanes
trouble and gave up on that. There is perhaps
a measure of realism in this level, as there
has probably been at least one F1/Indycar
driver that has entertained the notion of
taking a shotgun to the spectators :)
FRITZ.WAD is hopefully my final level, and so
it is named after my girlfriend-with-whom-I-
have-been-living-for-over-5-years-and-why-the-
hell-havn't-I-married-her-yet-anyways.....
Enjoy...
Exits : MAP01 (ULTIMA.WAD) : Single player
Located atop the southern lift, clearly marked,
and the only switch on the level. Hard to miss.
MAP02 (FORMULA.WAD) : Single player
Located behind the door in the "hidden" service
tunnel. The door can be identified by the back-
packs and Megasphere near it.
MAP03 (CLAWSON7.WAD) : Cooperative
The exit lies in the building which houses the
rocket launcher and rockets (protected by a
crusher). The switch on the green wall lowers
the lift to the right. The switch atop that lift
lowers the opposite lift, and the switch atop
the opposite lift reveals the exit. As you can't
get from one lift to the other quickly enough,
have one player stationed near the second lift
for when the switch atop the first lift is hit.
MAP04 (DMRANDOM.WAD) : Single Player
Behind where each player start is a switch
which is the exit switch. Sorry if this causes
any confusion, but I originally made this level
so that only a player who had just died could
exit the level.
MAP05 (DMSPIRAL.WAD) : Single Player
Behind where all the players start is a switch
which is the exit switch. Sorry if this causes
any confusion, but I originally made this level
so that only a player who had just died could
exit the level.
MAP06 (DMPORTER.WAD) : Cooperative
In the room with the Super Shotgun is a secret
door that leads to a switch. This switch lowers
a lift in the "Master Switch Room" which can be
identified by being the only room that has 8
switches in it. You can reach the "Master
Switch Room" by going through either of the
teleporters marked by backpacks, lowering the
lift into the pit, and running down the hallway
at the bottom of the pit to the teleporter there.
When a Player hits the switch in the room with
the Super Shotgun, the lift in the "Master Switch
Room" lowers, revealing another switch. That
switch lowers the silver structure in the very
center of the level and reveals the exit switch.
MAP07 (FRITZ.WAD) : Single Player
Taking the BFG opens two large doors, revealing
two Invulnerability Spheres. Taking each of these
spheres opens doors revealing teleporters which
lead back into the main acid area. Entering these
teleporters lowers a platform behind the BFG.
The back wall of this platform conceals a lift
which leads the exit switch.
