  1.         Yes, that's right!  As far as I know this is the first PWAD with new 
  2.       music!  I'll also give you some info on how to import your own music
  3.       into Doom with Deu 5.1 beta.  The songs included in this PWAD are:

  5.       Honey Pie
  6.       Strawberry Fields Forever
  7.       Birthday
  8.       Get Back
  9.       One Vision
  10.       Crazy Little Thing Called Love
  11.       Dont Try So Hard
  12.       Friends Will Be Friends
  13.       I'm Going Slightly Mad
  14.       Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy
  15.       It's a Hard Life
  16.       Headlong
  17.       I Want To Break Free
  18.       Inuuendo
  19.       Killer Queen
  20.       A Kind of Magic
  21.       The Miracle
  22.       You're My Best Friend
  23.       The Invisible Man
  24.       Radio Ga Ga
  25.       Save Me
  26.       The Show Must Go On
  27.       Under Pressure
  28.       Who Wants To Live Forever

  30.         Yes they ARE all Queen and Beatles songs and obviously a little out 
  31.         different for Doom ;) but that's all I have.  The purpose is to show
  32.         that a music editor is possible with simply using Deu, here's how:

  34.         The names for the songs in the WAD are D_E1M1, D_E1M2 etc.
  35.         Firstly, you'll need MIDI2MUS if you want to convert MIDI files
  36.         to .MUS files.  Once you have your collection of .MUS files, you're
  37.         ready.  Load up Deu 5.1 beta (an excellent program by the way, thanks
  38.         Raphael!) and you'll use the insert command.  Let's say you're first
  39.         mission is to be playing the song `Birthday' and the file name is
  40.         `Birthday.mus'.  Type the following:
  41.         I BIRTHDAY.MUS D_E1M1
  42.         It will save it to a seperate .WAD file with the music info.
  43.         Do this for however many missions you want to then you can use
  44.         the group command to make a PWAD such as this one.
  45.         That's all there is to it!  If you didn't understand what I just
  46.         said you can leave me mail and I'll try to explain further, but you
  47.         shouldn't have too many troubles.
  48.         This PWAD has new music for every level except the secret levels. (I
  49.         forgot and didn't have enough .MID files anyway)  The Queen sound
  50.         files sound like crap on my Soundblaster Pro but that's not the
  51.         fault of Doom, they always sound like that.  I don't know much
  52.         about MIDI btu I think someone once told me that the files were
  53.         saved with a different drum track or on a different port or something.
  54.         (I do NOT have a MIDI kit) If anybody could help me out with that 
  55.         I'd appreciate it!  The Beatles songs sound fine on my SBPro hwoever
  56.         as do a few of the Queen songs.  
  57.                 To use this PWAD you do the same as with map pwads, just type
  58.         DOOM -FILE MUSIC.WAD

  60.         Phew!  I think that's it, so if you have any comments, suggestions
  61.         or can help me out with those Queen .MID files I'd appreciate it!
  62.         Maybe now people can write their own songs to fit the mood of their
  63.         PWADS and include them with them.
