  10. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  12.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  13.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  14.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  15.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  16.  
  17.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  18.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  19.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  20.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  21.   Many, like ARK ANGLES and TOPline Software, also give added benefits to
  22.   users who register.

  25. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  27.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  28.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  29.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  30.   or cease to use it.

  32.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  33.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  34.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  37. WHY REGISTER?
  38.  
  39.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  40.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  41.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  42.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  44.    o  the latest version of the program with no registration reminders, plus
  45.    o  the facility to run other programs at scheduled times, plus
  46.    o  a printed manual detailing all the features of the program, plus
  47.    o  12 months support, plus
  48.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  49.    o  a bonus program, plus
  50.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  53. PRICING

  55.   Single Registration is A$24.95 or US$21.95, which entitles you to all the
  56.   benefits listed above.  Single registration gives a license for use of the
  57.   program by one user or on one machine.
  58.   
  59.   Special licensing arrangements are available for schools or businesses or
  60.   anywhere there are multiple machines or users at the one site.

  62.   Significant updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the
  63.   latest version are available from TOPline Software or ARK ANGLES for just
  64.   a shipping charge of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  69. HOW TO REGISTER
  70.  
  71.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  72.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  73.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or Postal/Money Orders.  Credit cards will
  74.   always be billed by us in $A so you get the latest and best exchange rate.
  75.   Although we prefer any cash or cheques or drafts etc to be in $A or $US, we
  76.   will accept them in any major currency - please calculate the equivalent
  77.   amount in your own currency from the published $US price.

  79.   There are four easy ways to register:

  81.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  82.      listed in the ORDER.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  83.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for overseas customers, and leave your
  84.      ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  86.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  87.      ORDER.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  88.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there,
  89.      then fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638
  90.      for overseas customers.

  92.   3. POST:  Print ORDER.TXT and fill it in.  If its a credit card order,
  93.      or the order includes more than one product, post to ARK ANGLES at
  94.      24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.  Otherise include a
  95.      cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot to TOPline Software,
  96.      P O Box 66, Rundle Mall SA 5000, Australia.

  114.   access to the author and/or distributor by mail, phone and fax, plus

  140.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  141.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  142.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  144.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  145.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  146.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  147.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  149.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or TOPline Software is
  150.   restricted to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of
  151.   the physical disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade
  152.   to the latest version.
