  1. MMTrek v0.1 is a Multimedia-screensaver-module for Windows (TM) v3.1
  2.  
  3. Every 15 seconds it displays one four different animated pictures of starships from StarTrek.
  4. It can be configured to play wav-sounds at start, end, fly-by of a starship and as a chime.
  5.  
  6. Windows will keep printing even when MMTREK is active and PRINTMAN's priority is set at "low".
  7.  
  8. SVGA/800*600 with at least 256 colours is recommended, runs also under vanilla VGA.

  10. Requires VBRUN200.DLL (not included).

  13. Installation:

  16. Copy the file MMTREK.SCR to your Windows-directory. Start CONTROL PANEL, 
  17. double-click the DESKTOP-icon and choose MM-Trek as screensaver.

  19. Configuration:

  22. Start CONTROL PANEL, double-click the DESKTOP-icon,
  23. choose MM-Trek as screensaver, and click the "Setup..." button.
  24.  
  25. 1. Speedfactor: Choose a speedfactor of 1 to 9. The higher the factor,
  26.                 the faster the animations will be (on my 486/33, 
  27.                 Speedstar HiColor at 800*600 and 256 colours, I use "3").
  28.  
  29. 2. Timer:       Determines how many seconds there will be between the 
  30.                 animations. Set at 15. Change not yet supported (*).
  31.  
  32. 3. Sounds:      Determines the WAV-files which are to be played at start
  33.                 and end of MMTREK, when a ship is flying by and when the 
  34.                 time is nn:15, nn:30, nn:45, or nn:00. The chime-sound will
  35.                 be played at these times 1 to 4 times respectively.
  36.                 The input works according to the GIGO-principle: You have
  37.                 to specify complete names for the WAV-files, including
  38.                 drive, path, and extension. MMTrek does not check whether
  39.                 the file exits nor does it give you any help finding a
  40.                 file (*).
  41.                 If you do not want any sound to be played at a specific
  42.                 event, empty the according field or leave it empty.

  44. 4. Password:    Not yet supported (*).
