README TEXT FILE FOR AMIGO!
1. Amigo! Purpose
Amigo! is a Free Form Information Manager closely integrated
with e-mail and the Internet. Information is stored in a
user defined Note which can contain any data of any size
including one or more URL's and e-mail addresses. URL's
and e-mail addresses are recognized wherever they appear
in Notes and are used to form hot links (click on the link
to load the URL into the browser) to either Netscape Navigator
or Internet Explorer. In addition, Amigo! can capture data
from the active browser page with a single keystroke and
import of existing bookmarks is supported. A Windows
95 Explorer style interface is used to organize information.
'Drag & drop' and 'full text search' operations are supported.
A Note, a folder of Notes, or an entire File of Notes may
be easily exchanged between Amigo! users. The entire
structure of the File and Folders is preserved for
the interchange.
2. Installing Amigo!
After unzipping the archive, simply execute the exclosed 'amgsetup.exe'.
'amgsetup.exe' is a zip compatible self installing archive.
The setup program backs up any replaced modules and also loads an
uninstall program.
3. Amigo! Status
Amigo! is Shareware. It is fully functional and not crippled in any way.
Anyone may load Amigo! and evaluate it at no charge for up to 30 days.
Use beyond 30 days requires registration but any data created during
the evaluation will be preserved after registration.
4. Distribution
A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Amigo! only
for the trial use of others provided that Amigo! and all of its
release files must be copied in unmodified form, complete with
the file containing this information and the license.txt file.
