  8. This is version 0.95 of the Dwyco Video Conferencing System.
  9. It replaces version 0.80. New features include:
  10.     * Color video
  11.     * Private real-time chat
  12.     * File transfers while conferencing
  13.     * "recommend" feature that makes it easy to
  14.     tell your friends about cdc32.

  17. The Dwyco Video Conferencing System is a software-only video
  18. conferencing system for Microsoft Windows95 that can transmit and
  19. receive video and audio and text in real-time across the Internet.  It can
  20. operate in a variety of modes, including video/audio server, video/audio
  21. sender, video/audio receiver, and two-way video/audio send-receive.

  23. Installation
  24. ------------
  25. The distribution contains a file named "dwyco095.exe". This is a
  26. self-installing executable. To install, simply run "dwyco095.exe".

  28. One way to do this using the Windows 95 taskbar is to do the following:
  29. Click on "Start".
  30. Click on "Run".
  31. Enter the full path to "dwyco095.exe" in the "Open" item.
  32. Click "Ok".

  34. Note: you must have the Windows95 Multimedia components installed
  35. on your computer to use the system. These come standard with
  36. Windows95, but you have to explicitly install them from your
  37. Windows95 installation media. To do this:

  39. Click on "Start"
  40. Click on "Settings"
  41. Click on "Control panel"
  42. Double-Click on "Add/Remove programs"
  43. Click on "Windows Setup" tab
  44. Scroll down to and highlight "Multimedia"
  45. Click on "Details"
  46. Make sure that you have a checkmark next to the "Audio Compression"
  47. and "Video Compression" boxes. If you don't, select them and
  48. follow the directions Window95 gives you to install the components.

  56. Cdc32 is distributed as SHAREWARE.  The registration insructions are
  57. available by clicking Help|Registration...  or clicking on the
  58. credit-card icon on the toolbar.  Cdc32 is NOT public domain, nor is it
  59. freeware.  See license for more details.

  63. The unmodified dwyco095.exe file is freely distributable. Under no
  64. circumstances should dwyco095.exe be distributed in other than
  65. its original form.
