Author's notes :I've only had my computer for about 5 or 6 months, so I haven't had a chance to get a modem yet, but you can send me Email at
the university I attend on M,W,F at the address listed above. I don't check my mail every day, but I'll try to get back with you as soon as I can. I'd really like to hear what you think of my puds, and exchange tips and advice.
Description :This is another of my European PUDs. In case you haven't played any of them, they are set in a crude map of Europe. (There is a limit as to how much detail you can use with the map editor.) Of course you start out in Spain, but then you must perform a rescue mission before you can get any further because you have no peasants. The rescue takes place in France. After that, prepare for brutal, relentless assaults from Ireland, England, and Germany. You will find that you are able to use both Orc and Human forces, remember that some of your upgrades apply to both.
Hints :I don't make any easy PUDs, what would be the fun? Some of them are challenging, and some of them are brutal, but this is one of the more difficult ones. So get emotionally prepared and if you don't win the first time, figure out what your mistakes were and try again. I get my own butt kicked at many of these and then tone them down enough to be barely manageble. You are welcome to alter them to make them more or less challenging, but my wife tells me that many of them are just too difficult. It's hard to be objective about your own work, so I welcome your comments, suggestions, critisms, and questions. My Email address is listed above, feel free to tell me what you think.
Additional Credits to :My wife, who patiently learned how to play Warcraft 2 just so she would be able to test my PUDs for me. In spite of the fact that I tried to teach her how to play, she has developed an extreme fondness for the game. It was hard for me to remember my first fumbling moments with this game, and I got so frustrated with her that I made her too nervous to play. Finally, I had to go out into the living room so she could play in peace. When I returned, I discovered that I didn't know everything, and that she had developed some strageties on her own that were just as effective as my own, and sometimes better.
