  31. This version includes the DOS and NetWare CAPI software
  32.  
  33.            V2.43 for the ix1-primary Power board.
  34.  
  35. The printed dokumentation for this software version consists of the
  36. manual "Installation and Interfaces" version 2.1.
  37. If you haven't got this manual, yet, you can order it by calling our hotline.

  39. The protocols T.90 and ISO 8208 are supported due to the CAPI standard 
  40. with this version.

  43. 2. Network protocol variants
  44. ============================
  45.  
  46. The default D-Channel protocol for the ix1-board is the European 
  47. ISDN protocol (Euro-ISDN/NET3/DSS-1).
  48.  
  49. If the ix1-board shall be used with a different D-channel protocol 
  50. this has to be configured using the SETLINE tool. 
  51. The usage of SETLINE is described in chapter 4.7 of the manual 
  52. "Installation and Interfaces V2.1". You get a brief description of all
  53. allowed commandline parameters when you start SETLINE without any arguments.

  55. The European ISDN protocol (Euro-ISDN/NET3/DSS-1), the protocol variants
  56. 1TR6 (Germany) and Q.931 (CCITT bluebook) are part of the ix1-software.

  58. Below some examples for the protocol adjustment using SETLINE are given:

  60. SETLINE   -D 0 <Return>    selects 1TR6

  62. SETLINE   -D 1 <Return>    selects European ISDN (Euro-ISDN/NET5/DSS-1)

  65. 3. Installation under DOS
  66. =========================

  68. The provided batch file CAPI.BAT can be called with following parameters: 
  69.  
  70.       CAPI <RETURN>           downloads the protocol software and installs
  71.                               the ix1 driver software
  72. or
  73.       CAPI -D <RETURN>        deinstalls the resident DOS CAPI driver    
  74.                               (IXCAPI.COM)
  75. or
  76.       CAPI ? <RETURN>         prints a short instruction for CAPI.BAT
  77.  
  78. The manual does not contain any remark concerning these additional parameters
  79. of CAPI.BAT.

  82. 4. Installation under NetWare
  83. =============================

  85. This version includes the NetWare CAPI. The installation is described in 
  86. the manual "Installation and Interfaces V2.1".

  92. The ix1-primary board is licensed by the German "Bundesamt für 
  93. Zulassungen in der Telekommunikation" (BZT) with the number A114562E.
  94.  
  95. In addition to this the boards have been certified in Belgium,
  96. Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, 
  97. Portugal, Spain, Sweden and UK for the Euro-ISDN protocol.

  103. 6. Problems / Annotations / History

  105. a) The shared-memory of the ix1-primary board unter MSDOS should be 
  106.    configured below 1MB e.g. D0000.
  107.    Under NetWare we recommend 2GB+8MB.
  108.  
  109. b) If the ix1-express software is used with the Euro ISDN protocol
  110.    the support of the EAZ (terminal selection digit) must be disabled.
  111.    Otherwise no incoming calls will be accepted.
  112.  
  113. c) With this version the capi.dll requires the environment variable 
  114.    'ix1dir' to find the configurationfile ix1.cnf. To use the capi.dll
  115.    with all ix1 files stored in the directory c:\ix1 you should 
  116.    insert the following line in the autoexec.bat:
  117.         set ix1dir=c:\ix1
