  1. Dear Colin,
  2.     A few notes on how to use the new language structure. Firstly there
  3. are the following batch files :-
  4.  
  5.     LODENG.BAT    - English  Version
  6.     LODSPAN.BAT    - Spanish  Version
  7.     LODITAL.BAT    - Italian  Version
  8.     LODGERM.BAT    - German   Version
  9.     LODPORT.BAT    - Portuges Version
  10.     LODFREN.BAT    - French   Version
  11.  
  12.     UPDATE.BAT    - Updates S04\S08\S16 copies on the server.

  14.     LODENG.BAT is the most important, it generates the RAGETEXT.H and 
  15. RAGETEXT.INC files needed by The sounrce files. If a new item is added, this
  16. needs to be run first, followed by all the others. When you run the other
  17. language batch files, they check that the entries match English.TXT. After
  18. you have ran all the different language batch files, run UPDATE.BAT, this
  19. copies all the *.TXT and RAGETEXT.* to all S04\S08\S16 directories.

  21.     If you only update a single language, i.e. alter the text strings,
  22. just run the appropraite batch file, if this passes, the run update.

  24. P.S.    The actual language files are store in \RAGE\GRAPHICS.
