  1.                F-PROT ANTI-VIRUS PRICING/ORDERING INFORMATION

  3. Please note that the information given below only applies to the English
  4. language shareware version of the program, which is only available
  5. directly from Iceland.

  7. For information on localized/translated versions, the F-PROT Professional
  8. program and versions for Windows, OS/2, NT or NetWare, please see the file
  9. PRO.TXT

  11.                                PRIVATE USE
  12.  
  13. The English-language shareware version of the F-PROT anti-virus program is
  14. free of charge for private use (that is, free for any individual or family
  15. using it on a personally owned computer).
  16.  
  17. Private users may obtain free updates from BBSes, via FTP or E-mail. See
  18. UPDATES.TXT for info.

  21.                               F-PROT LICENSES
  22.  
  23. Licenses are available from Frisk Software International to companies,
  24. organizations and institutions in USA, Canada and countries where no
  25. distributor for the F-PROT Professional version has been established.
  26.  
  27. Please note that we do not accept new registrations from Australia and
  28. New Zealand any more, only renewals from existing users.  New customers
  29. in those countries are asked to contact the distributors of the Pro
  30. version.

  35. The cost for a site license depends on the estimated number of computers in
  36. the company or department covered by the license. There is a minimum fee of
  37. US$20 per year.

  40.               2501 - 5000     $0.75 per computer
  41.               5001 - 7500     $0.50 per computer
  42.               7501 - 10000    $0.25 per computer

  52. The customer is not expected to keep accurate count of the number of computers
  53. which the software is installed on, only to provide a reasonable estimate.

  55. If you just order a site license, we assume that you already have the
  56. program, and that you will be obtaining new versions of the program by FTP
  57. or download them from bulletin boards.  In this case, all you receive from
  58. us is just an invoice and a paper copy of the license, if requested.  If
  59. you need a diskette with the latest version, please add $20 (or $100 for a
  60. 1-year subscription).

  62.                             EDUCATIONAL DISCOUNT
  63.  
  64. There is a 25% educational discount of the license fee, although the $20
  65. minimum fee still applies.  There is no charge for the use of the program
  66. on computers personally owned by students/staff.  This discount does not
  67. apply to the subscription fee.

  70.                              OBTAINING UPDATES
  71.  
  72. There is no additional fee for updates if they are obtained from BBSes,
  73. from CompuServe, AOL or other such services, or via FTP from one of the
  74. Internet archive servers, such as oak.oakland.edu.  Please see the file
  75. UPDATES.TXT for a list of FTP distribution sites.

  77. If you cannot use any of those options, we offer a bimonthly mail-update
  78. service, for a fixed annual fee of US$100, added to the license fee.

  81.                                 HOW TO ORDER

  83. We accept regular purchase orders from corporations and educational or
  84. government institutions.

  95.                               METHODS OF PAYMENT
  96.  
  97. You may pay with a check (payable to Frisk Software International),
  98. international money order or a VISA/EuroCard/MasterCard/Access credit
  99. card (please specify card number, card holder's name and expiration date).  
  100. Please note that we do not accept American Express or Diners Club credit
  101. cards.

  103. Users in Europe, please note:  We accept payment by Eurochecks, but they
  104. should be either in Icelandic kronor, or your own currency - not a third
  105. currency like US dollars, as the fee we have to pay to cash the check
  106. would be $25.

  108. Users in Canada, please note: If paying by a check in US$, issued by a
  109. Canadian bank, please make sure the check states that it is payable through
  110. some US bank.  If the check is drawn on an US$ account in a Canadian bank,
  111. and no mention made of an US bank, it can only be cashed in Canada and the
  112. US - we would have to return it.

  114. Please do not send payment in the form of an US Postal Money Order - it
  115. cannot be cashed in Iceland.
