  7. This is the Shareware version of Mr. Burns.  Please feel free to copy
  8. or redistribute this package.

  10. It is a fully functional version of the package.  The shareware version
  11. displays a message informing the user that the system is being monitored.
  12. The registered version does not display this message and remains hidden
  13. at all time.

  15. Program Description:
  16. --------------------
  17. Mr. Burns is a Productivity Management Software package that monitors
  18. the activity of any PC running Microsoft Windows.  This program is 
  19. ideal for keeping track of the amount of time that you spend on your 
  20. computer, detecting malicious use or your computer, or monitoring the 
  21. productivity of others.  Because the program runs hidden in the 
  22. background, the user is unaffected and unaware of the presence of 
  23. Mr. Burns.  The following lists of some of the information provided 
  24. by Mr.  Burns:

  26. ╖ Names and command lines of programs that were run (including time 
  27.       started and stopped)
  28. ╖ Which applications were active, and when
  29. ╖ Amount of time the computer was left idle
  30. ╖ Number of Keystrokes hit
  31.  
  32. All of this information is discretely saved to compact audit files, and 
  33. can only be viewed and decoded with the Mr. Burns Administration program.

  36. "Mr. Burns" is a productivity management tool with 
  37. numerous advantages and uses:

  39. o SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS can use Mr. Burns to monitor     
  40.   the popularity of software packages in a networked   
  41.   environment in order to maximize usage of software
  42.   user licenses.

  45.   amount of time that they spend on-line in order to keep
  46.   access fees under control.

  48. o PARENTS can monitor the activities of their children
