  2. Telix for Windows is Copyright (c) 1993-95 by deltaComm Development, Inc.

  4. Telix for Windows is not, nor has ever been, public domain or free software.
  5.  
  6. The commercial, registered version of Telix for Windows may not be duplicated
  7. other than for backup purposes. A registered copy of Telix for Windows must be
  8. treated like a book, in that the same registered copy of Telix for Windows may
  9. not be used in more than one computer at the same time, just as a book may not
  10. be read by more than one person at the same time (without making an illegal
  11. copy).  Network users must purchase one copy of Telix for Windows for each
  12. workstation that Telix for Windows is to be installed on.
  13.  
  14. Users are granted a limited license to use the User Supported, trial version
  15. of Telix for Windows on 45 different days in order to determine if it suits
  16. their needs. Any other use of Telix for Windows or use past this period
  17. requires the purchase of a software license. An automatic "registration sentry"
  18. is built into Telix for Windows to help enforce this license; at the end of
  19. the 45 day evaluation period, Telix for Windows must either be purchased or
  20. removed from the computer.

  22. TELIX FOR WINDOWS AND ALL OF ITS COMPONENTS ARE THE EXCLUSIVE INTELLECTUAL
  23. PROPERTY OF DELTACOMM DEVELOPMENT, INC.  NEITHER TELIX FOR WINDOWS NOR ANY OF
  24. ITS COMPONENTS MAY BE REVERSE ENGINEERED NOR DISASSEMBLED FOR ANY PURPOSE
  25. WHATSOEVER, EXPRESSLY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EFFORTS TO DEFEAT ANY PART
  26. OF THE "REGISTRATION SENTRY" FEATURES OF THE SOFTWARE (DEFINED AS THOSE
  27. FEATURES WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO LIMIT THE USE OF THIS EVALUATION VERSION OF
  28. TELIX FOR WINDOWS TO 45 DAYS OF USE).  USERS POSTING SUCH INFORMATION,
  29. DOCUMENTATION, PROGRAMS OR PATCH FILES THAT SEEK TO DISABLE THE REGISTRATION
  30. SENTRY ARE IN VIOLATION OF UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAW AND
  31. WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

  33. All users are granted a limited license to copy the User Supported version
  34. of Telix for Windows only for the purpose of allowing others to try it,
  35. subject to the above restrictions as well as these:
  36.  
  37.    ■ Telix must be distributed in absolutely unmodified form, including ALL
  38.      program, documentation, and other files.
  39.  
  40.    ■ Telix may not be included with any other product for any reason
  41.      whatsoever without a license from deltaComm Development, Inc.  This
  42.      explicitly includes but is not limited to published books, cover disks,
  43.      turnkey systems that use Telix for Windows as a communications and
  44.      scripting engine, modem manufacturers, and computer dealers including
  45.      Telix for Windows pre-bundled on computers they sell.

  47.    ■ No charge or payment may be levied or accepted for Telix.

  49. These restrictions are necessary because of customers' beliefs that when they
  50. pay a vendor for a product or service, that they have paid for everything that
  51. the product or service comes with, including the mistaken belief that they
  52. have paid any license fees for bundled shareware when they paid the vendor.
  53.  
  54. Bulletin Board system operators and computer user groups may post the
  55. unregistered, User Supported version of Telix for Windows on their BBS for
  56. downloading by their users without written permission only if the above
  57. conditions are met, and only if no special fee is necessary to access the
  58. Telix files (a general fee to access the BBS is ok).

  60. Distributors of User Supported and Public Domain software MUST obtain written
  61. permission from deltaComm Development, Inc., before distributing Telix for
  62. Windows and must follow the above conditions, as well as other detailed at the
  63. time of request for a distributor's license.  This includes but is not limited
  64. to: catalog vendors, mail order vendors, swap meet vendors, flea market
  65. vendors, retail shareware vendors commonly known as "rack vendors", and low
  66. cost retail vendors.

  68. Shareware vendors or other parties found to be bundling copies of Telix for
  69. Windows with other products or services without written permission, or found
  70. to be in the business of distributing shareware copies of Telix for a fee and
  71. as a business without written permission will be prosecuted to the fullest
  72. extent of the law.  Shareware (including Telix for Windows) is fully protected
  73. by the Copyright Laws of the United States and other countries; the fact that
  74. shareware is readily downloadable from online systems and freely distributable
  75. as described above does in no way relinquish any of our rights to Copyright
  76. Protection to which we are entitled.

  79.              Telix for Windows Ordering/Registration Information

  81. Registering (buying) Telix  for Windows allows you to use the product after
  82. the 45-day trial period. Registered Telix users get the current version of
  83. Telix for Windows in a shelf-ready, shrink-wrap retail package, complete with
  84. printed documentation. Purchasers will also receive mailed notification of
  85. major Telix for Windows updates via our "deltaCommuniqué" newsletter, and a
  86. one-year subscription on the Telix Software Support BBS, deltaComm Online (we
  87. guarantee no support to unregistered users). Most importantly, registered
  88. users know they are helping to make sure that high-quality software like Telix
  89. for Windows continues to be sold in this low-cost way.

  91. Registered users will receive access to our online service, featuring many
  92. thousands of megabytes of shareware for download, access to international echo
  93. mail, Internet E-mail, Reuters news services, weather services, stock quotes
  94. and more. A one year subscription to deltaComm Online, including access to all
  95. of the above features and more, is included with your order.

  97. Payment may be in the form of check, money order, or with VISA or Mastercard.
  98. We also accept corporate purchase orders for amounts of $44 US and over. All
  99. US dollar checks must be drawn on a US bank, and all Canadian dollar checks
  100. must be drawn on a Canadian bank. Note that we quote equivalent prices in both
  101. $US and $CDN, but as we are a US company all credit card orders will be billed
  102. in $US, and your card statement will show any conversion between currencies.

  125. Multiple copy purchases are simply bulk purchases and include that many copies
  126. of Telix for Windows in the shrink-wrap packages.  Site Licenses with one
  127. master disk and manual but licensed for multiple users are also available at
  128. significant savings.  Please call your distributor for your area. The number
  129. for your distributor is contained in the automated registration system of
  130. Telix for Windows.

  134. International registration sites have been established in England, Germany,
  135. and Australia with more being established with each release.  Please purchase
  136. your copy of Telix for Windows from the appropriate local registration site.
  137. Users in Europe but not in Germany should purchase from the German site.

  139. All prices, discounts, and registration sites are subject to change without
  140. notice. Discounts are not cumulative; they apply only to separate orders.

  145. implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability
  146. and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to this software and

  150. (INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION,
  151. LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE
  152. USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PROGRAM, EVEN IF DELTACOMM DEVELOPMENT,
  153. INC., HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  163. patented by Unisys Corporation. Other product names, corporate names, or
  164. titles used within the program and accompanying help files may be trademarks
