  3. Q: How do I tell the dialer to dial a 9 to access an outside line?

  5. A: You need to load Wildcat Connection Manager, Choose the menu item
  6.    Connections, then choose Dial Properties. Check the box that you
  7.    need to dial a number to access an outside line, then enter in the 
  8.    correct number.

  12. Q: When upgrading online, I receive an "Error #3 upgrading xxx program"
  13.  
  14. A: This means you have an older copy of DUNZIP.DLL in your Windows system
  15.    directory. Copy the DUNZIP.DLL from the directory you installed the
  16.    Navigator in (usually C:\WCNAV) to your Windows system directory.
  17.    (usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM).

  21. Q: When I choose to telnet to a site, Wildcat immediately reports an
  22.    "Invalid Address" error.

  24. A: Check to see if WINSOCK.DLL exists in the Windows directory. If it

  29. Q: I'm getting a "Reset Timeout" error when attempting to dial-out using
  30.    a modem.

  32. A: This could be a number of things. Check to make sure you are telling
  33.    Wildcat to use the correct COM port for your machine.  Check to see
  34.    if WINSOCK.DLL exists in the Windows directory. If it does not, you'll
  35.    need to re-install TCP/IP support under Windows 95.

  39. Q: When I load The Navigator, I'm receiving a "cache error 262". What
  40.    should I do?

  42. A: Install SHARE.EXE. Edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and add SHARE.EXE to
  43.    the end of the file. Reboot the PC so the change will take affect.

  47. Q: I logged in, and it told me my system files needed to be upgraded,
  48.    so I let it upgrade them. If I hang up, and call back, it keeps telling
  49.    me they need to be upgraded. What should I do?
  50.  
  51. A: It's doing that because you haven't properly shutdown Wildcat after
  52.    the upgrade. Wildcat will prompt you after a system file upgrade that
  53.    you need to exit clear out of Wildcat (dialer and all) before the
  54.    upgrade process can be completed, NOT just disconnect. Exit all the
  55.    way out, and the next time you load wildcat, the upgrade process will
  56.    be completed, and it will stop prompting you.
