  8. Tanx is shareware.  This game can be freely distributed provided
  9. that it is distributed in its original and unmodified form. 
  10. Any distribution charges must not exceed the reasonable price of the 
  11. media, shipping, and handling charges.

  13. This evaluation copy has only 8 levels of the first zone.  To order 
  14. the complete copy (with another 16 levels and a 2 player combat zone), 
  15. print out the order form section below and fill it in.  Send the completed 
  16. form with a Check or Postal Order for just 6 pounds to the address shown 
  17. below.

  19. HOW TO INSTALL AND PLAY
  20.  
  21. To Install - Select 'File' then 'Run' then 'Browse' from the Windows Program 
  22. Manager and double click on the 'Setup.exe' file in the directory where
  23. you placed Tanx.
  24. Now run Tanx.
  25. Select options with the left mouse button.  To start click on 'ZONE 1'.
  26. The cursor keys control the tanks movement while the 'M','<' and '>' keys
  27. centre or rotate the turret.  The Spacebar fires.  The object of the game
  28. for the first zone is to rescue all hostages (by driving into them) and 
  29. then vacate the area as directed.  The hostages will wave to show you
  30. their positions.  The number of lives you have remaining are shown in the
  31. bottom left of the screen while the bar in the middle/bottom shows the
  32. extent of any damage to your tank.  There are various enemies trying to
  33. stop you with different levels of armour (The stationary guns take quite a 
  34. few hits to destroy them).
