Video Poker Deluxe v1.20 16:50 10/02/96
- Added Game Events (PC Speaker sounds) option. You can now assign sounds or tunes played by the PC speaker
to game events. Ideal for PCs with no sound cards or PC Speaker drivers installed.
- Reorganized the Sound menu options.
- BUG: On certain PCs, Video Poker Deluxe locks up (forcing you to reboot) when starting the game and
pressing OK or Register Now from the splash screen in Windows 95 with the video card driver set to
true (16.7 million) colors. Resetting the video card driver to 256 colors will solve that problem.
- BUG: Video Poker Deluxe will try to play a MIDI file once OK is pressed on the splash screen. If your
sound card MIDI driver is newly installed and no MIDI file has been played before, the sound MIDI driver
might display an error message with a check box indicating something to the effect "Do not redisplay
this message". Video Poker Deluxe will lock up forcing you to reboot because you cannot get access to the
error message window. To get around this, double click on any .MID file in file manager and play the .MID
file (using media player). If the message shows up, check the check box and it should never display again.
Video Poker Deluxe v1.12 12:00 09/11/95
- Corrected Save/Load Game bug. Payout table not being saved if a payout table was not clicked in the menu.
Could result in progressive jackpot amount and number of cards not being refreshed when loading an incorrectly
saved file.
Video Poker Deluxe v1.11 22:25 04/11/95
- Corrected Deuces Wild bug (deuces were not counted as wild) which cropped up in v1.10.
Video Poker Deluxe v1.10 16:25 29/10/95
- Corrected bug where Bet Max subtracts 5 from Cash after Bet 1 has been pressed.
- Added 2 payout tables, Joker Wild and One-Eyed King, to registered game.
- Added progressive jackpot.
- Added option to customize game events. Any .mid or .wav file can be assigned to
a game event. .Wav files are played in SYNC mode, meaning the game freezes when a
.wav file plays. This prevents the .wav files from sounding like stuttering, which occurs
if other processing is occurring simultaneously.
- Special effects have been regrouped by fast and slow. A check box, added to each of
the two special effects windows, appears when a random special effect is chosen. Clicking
the check box results in only fast or slow special effects being randomly chosen.
NOTE: Some .mid files do not play correctly on 8-bit sound cards (ie. Sound Blaster Pro)
and some nonSound Blaster 16-bit cards (ie. Pro Audio Spectrum). The files which may not
play correctly are axel-f.mid, bad.mid, crystal.mid, dawnmist.mid, housesun.mid, and
nut1mrch.mid.
