  19. ------------
  20. Window Control allows the user to manipulate desktop
  21. windows as their leisure. You can manually hide, move,
  22. resize or rename any program window. One of the most
  23. powerful things about Window Control is that you can
  24. set it up to do these things automatically. Read the
  25. help files to find out how to do this.

  27. Once you start using Window Control, I am sure that
  28. you will find it far more powerful and useful than
  29. any other program of this type. That is why it was
  30. created. Plenty programs exist to hide windows, or 
  31. to minimise windows, etc, but none have all the 
  32. features built into the one easy to use program. 
  33. Window Control also has many useful features that
  34. I've not seen in any other programs.

  51. * Streamlined the code to make the program faster.
  52. * UNDO. You can now undo hide, rename, minimise, maximise

  55. windows. With the preferences dialog, you can set certain
  56. windows to not be included in either of these procedures.

  88. * First AutoPlace entry was still not showing properly.
  89. * Deleting AutoPlace entries didn't remove INI settings.
  90. * When a program closed, you could still try to add it to the
  91. AutoPlace list, causing a GPF.
  92. * Fixed OS bug so that program works better under Windows NT.
  93. * Fixed AutoTop bug where focus kept going to windows that were
  94. being topped. Now a window is only topped when it is first found.
  95. * Minimise all is now quicker, and remembers previous window
  96. placements (i.e. works as standard Windows minimise all, except it
  97. is neater and faster).
  98. * If main screen was too big, other dialogs could be off screen,
  99. now they are centred.

  115. Installation & Uninstalling
  116. ---------------------------
  117. There is no special procedure to follow. Just place
  118. the program into any directory of your choice. It is
  119. probably best to place Window Control into your startup
  120. so that it is always running when you start windows so
  121. that whatever programs you run will always be placed where
  122. you want them.

  124. This program requires the Visual Basic 3 runtime files 
  125. to work. These are probably already on your computer.
  126. If not, you'll need VBRUN300.DLL for the program to work.

  128. To uninstall Window Control, just remove WINDOW.EXE and 
  129. WINDOWH.INI which will be in your WINDOWS directory.

  132. Updates and Other Programs
  133. --------------------------

  141. of all future updates.

  144. System Requirements
  145. -------------------
  146. Window Control will work with any version of Windows 3.1 or greater, 
  147. including Windows 95 or Windows NT.

  150. Registration
  151. ------------
  152. Window Control is distributed as a shareware program. This 
  153. means that you are free to try it out for 30 days. It will 
  154. be fully functional during that time, but if you continue to
  155. use the program after that time, i would appreciate it if you
  156. paid for it.

  158. For your ú10/$15 you will be informed of future updates to 
  159. Window Control, and I will email you a personalised copy of the
  160. program without the "Shareware Version" on the about box.
  161. All future updates upto version 2 will be free to all registered 
  162. users, and after that new versions will be available at a reduced
  163. cost to registered users.

  165. Send your money/cheque/postal order via post with your email 
  166. address.
